i realize you're saying what they said, and there's some sarcasm there (or a lot)....but.....there has NEVER been an administration that was more childish and LESS adult like in the history of the country. the cheeto tweeter in chief goes off with every thing he doesn't like and acts like a spoiled 8 year old and everyone around him makes excuses (being kind there) for his behavior and lies.

it is like a bad dream.....except it's not.

I just remember after Mattis' confirmation a good friend of mine commented on Facebook about how finally the adults are in charge again. And that stuck with me, because it really shows how the right views Democrats and why it's so difficult to work together nowadays. If you can't view fellow Americans as adults and treat them with respect regardless of position, how are any of the big problems we all face going to get solved?

clearly the answer, at least at this point in time is, they're not going to get solved. the republicans are only interested in having a dictatorship. and that ain't gonna fly. as things stand right now...the only way to solve many of the problems this country face, is to eliminate one of the parties. period.

I'm not saying or implying they took 8 years on it. 8 years ago they were told health care legislation was getting passed and that was when they should have started, but they didn't. So they had 8 years to work on it and they spent the last 15 minutes on it and it shows.

Definitely.

I also think a lot of the GOP honestly didn't think they were going to win big in 2016.

I caught the last half of the Chris Hayes town hall with Bernie Sanders in WV on MSNBC last night. It actually gave me some hope. A room full of Trump voters was applauding Bernie's answers. At one point, a retired coal miner remarked that he found it ironic that a liberal senator from the northeast is looking out for folks like him more than someone like Mitch McConnell is. People are really pissed about the looming healthcare disaster.

I'm not saying that Kellyanne Conway is a good person or we should go easy on her, but I'm pretty sure Der Trumpher is using her as a misogyny sink. She always says the most outlandish things and so people latch onto her. Again this isn't excusing her or endorsing her positions, quite the opposite.

Well they certainly need as many distractions from Trump himself as possible

Though I do think she was actually a very skilled and valuable member of his campaign, and I'm sure Trump recognized that.

so trump gets off scott free for falsely accusing obama of wiretapping his phones and look we all stopped talking about racist jeff sessions perjuring himself in front of congress. trump's tactic of diverting attention from something bad by saying crazy false lies works again for him.

this whole entire system is so messed up. doesn't make any sense.

Should we make a list of crazy ass shit that has been forgotten as soon as the next crazy ass thing happens?

hey.....who knew health care could be so complicated.....rolleyes1

of course, if they had paid any attention to it in the first place, they might have had a clue.
but they slept thru class and then when it came time to take the test, they blame the teacher for "being mean".

and what really frosts my ass, is that when they find out that their ideas or words aren't going to work the way they wanted, instead of taking a step back and saying "we're going to have a look at this again" or whatever.....instead of that, they just dig in their heels and put up a fight when they KNOW they're wrong. WTF?? that's what school age bullies do.

Why should they change their ways, they have been doing that for years and they just won both houses and the presidency.

A good friend of mine posted this on Facebook last night:

"So today my 69yr old latino father was accosted by a racist white supremacist while minding his own business pumping gas at the local Costco store in San Marcos CA around 10:30am. The guy was visibly annoyed for whatever reason and simply walked up to my dad and proceeded to attack him just because of the color of his skin and for simply being non-white. He shoved my father in the shoulder twice and spewed derogatory remarks towards him and then baited him into a fist fight saying "whatcha gonna do about it huh" while stunned onlookers whipped out their cell phones and started taking video of the incident. My dad was able to remain calm and cool and collected and simply asked the man to back off and stop his attacks, but the guy kept on persisting to provoke my dad into a fight but when the cops were called he bailed out like a little sissy girly man, but of course not before a good samaritan at the scene was able to get the dudes license plate number for the police report. It's very sad to hear about all the racially charged violence against minorities in our country these days, but when it happens to someone in your own family it really hits home; my father may be Latino and yeah he wasn't born in the USA but he came here in his teens and was adopted by my dear grandmother and became a naturalized citizen, and went to school here, enlisted in the armed forces, served 2 tours in Vietnam and several more in the middle east, also had served many years in the military helping to keep us all safe and protect our freedoms, he is an upstanding law abiding member of society and he pays his fair share of taxes just like we all do and I will be damned if some racist white supremacist freakboy comes along and attempts to disrespect my father like that! There is absolutely zero reason for that kind of behavior and zero tolerance for it as well, so listen up dude if you're out there and you or anyone else that you know just happens to be reading this post then please be on notice, the Costco security cameras got everything on tape and we have several eyewitness statements on record so you are not going to get away free and clear on this one! And a little friendly reminder and tidbit of education for you as well; to be an American means many things; you dont need to be born here to be an American citizen because this country is the original melting pot and unless you are a direct descendant of Native American Indians then chances are you probably have an immigrant background in your family history... oh and by the way no matter what color your skin is or where you come from everybody bleeds red so get off your racist high horse and stop acting like a blundering idiot! You're very lucky that I wasn't with my dad this morning when you decided to attack him cuz it would have not ended well for you I can guarantee you that much! But hey that's ok we got your license plate number and filed a police report so when the cops do eventually find you there will be a court date and charges will be filed against you and I will be there you slimeball and I can't wait to hear the pathetic excuses that you give to the judge for your reckless and uncalled for behavior. This ought to be good for a laugh..."

This saddens and angers me to no end. 2017 might as well be 1950.
