OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

Well, I wouldn't feel right expecting my subordinates to be willing to catch a bullet for him.

The wife and I were talking about this Sunday night...I don't feel right about anyone taking a bullet for this particular person. I do not wish him dead, just not worth the sacrifice of others...even those who are employed for this very purpose. That said, there are no good options in the line of succession...how fucking scary is it that DeVos is 16th in line (https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Presidential_line_of_succession). There goes sleep tonight.

Well, you have to expect there's going to be some bumps in the road for a couple reasons: I doubt anyone, even typically highly competent people, are ready for the overwhelming job running the whitehouse is & when you look at the cast of characters involved in this administration, there seems to be fewer merit based appointments & selections to begin with. Considering the time they've been chasing wild geese like the inauguration numbers, the war on the media & phantom illegal voting, it's pretty incredible anything is going right so far.

It's not bad, it's just one more thing. If it were the only gaffe Spicer made, that would be one thing. But he's out there putting Joe Biden's gaffes to shame. That's big league.

The only reason I say its bad is that it is Canada, the neighbor they like and it isn't some name that is difficult to pronounce or has a spelling he is not familiar with like Sayyid Ali Hoseyni Khâmene'i or Hosni Mubarak, it's freaking Justin.

Well, that's why Trudeau will be hilariously mocked for the rest of his life over it. Because it's so simple.

I think somebody has a new crush.

To be fair, Spicer isn't the most eloquent speaker. In the clip it sounds to me like he stumbled over "Trudeau" and said "J - Trudeau" as opposed to "Joe Trudeau". "Joe" sounds like a stammer here to me.

Not that he isn't a joke, but it's pretty clear to me that's what happened there.

Well that goes to point out another case in which the Trump administration has failed. Make the spokesperson someone who isn't an eloquent speaker. Their one job is to speak to the press and they can't speak well.

Why should they bother to find someone competent for this position when they have utterly butchered virtually every other choice so far?
