Didn't he get fired for telling secrets to his girlfriend?

The fact that the administration would shortlist a guy who had to resign in disgrace & is actually still on probation from pleading guilty to mishandling classified information as a candidate for the Natl. Sec advisor should make everyone pause on the judgement being exercised in the administration.

He is on the short list because he is famous. You wouldn't expect Trump to know anyone who hadn't donated to him or been on TMZ or Entertainment Tonight would you?

If you've not watched that jon oliver clip I posted a page back, he actually addresses this very thing & points out how some of DJT's tweets are verbatim from Fox news/infowars/etc.

Anywho, I think it is kinda important to recall that Petraeus wasn't just guilty of sharing secrets via some pillow talk with his mistress, he actually gave her his personal notebooks that contained highly classified info like code words for secret intelligence programs, the identities of covert officers, and information about war strategy and deliberative discussions with the National Security Council & she later went batshit and started harassing one of his family friends while exposing she had access to classified info.

sounds like she needs to be in jail. him too.

It's funny that I made this post this morning and many of the folks I would include in the "needing common sense" column are liking the post. Including Teresa Brewer.

I didn't watch the clip because I am planning on watching the show tonight. My wife found an article a few weeks ago where they showed some of Trumps tweets that were word for word from a Fox news story that was on just before he tweeted. Trump really is your racist uncle who sits around in his robe all day watching Fox news and repeating like its gospel.

Funny enough his guilty plea to the misdemeanor would be sufficient to bar him from basic employment at many organizations like say a hospital or a bank.....but I guess not for the National Security Advisor.

Stealing an iPhone is a felony. Basically can't get hired anywhere for 10 years with that unless the company doesn't background check. Our government officials should be held to much higher standards than yer basic background check.

but....but.....but.....then half the gov't would have to be fired.
