If I disappear within the next four years, feel free to punch a Trump supporter for me.

they guy has a suicide complex. he's going to keep alienating every group in the country....until they COME for him. the military is NOT going to blanket support him....because many of them are the groups he is trying to eliminate.

we're almost to the point of 'give him enough rope'.

the DOD is not his friend at this point. the Chairmen are not amused. and THEY are FAR more powerful than this fucking puppet.

take a breath. his bullshit will result in a backlash, tomorrow, that will cost him dearly. when big corp goes against him...his ass is in hot water.
remember what happened when pence did his 'religous liberty' bullshit in indiana? nearly bankrupted the state in a week.

kitty....take a breath for a couple days, and watch how this starts playing out. this mutherfuker is testing limits....wait and see.
beside, SCOTUS has already ruled on this.....for now.

I'm surprised it took this long.

I'm surprised she lasted long enough for the story to have been reported online.

@Lerxst i have serious reservations about the accuracy of that poll, based on the fallout around the country in the last 4 days.
(i'm not criticizing you, i'm talking about Rasputin's facts)

IDK, it lines up with a lot of polling in other countries too...it's easy to make people afraid of people who are different and come from scary foreign lands.
Look at every time something happens in Germany involving a refugee; it's on every newscast around the globe and blown into an epidemic of crime

Did I post this one yet? Or anyone else? I can't remember. Anyway, a good read from a conservative former advisor and college professor. "Eliot A. Cohen is the director of the Strategic Studies Program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. From 2007 to 2009, he was a counselor to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. He is the author of The Big Stick: The Limits of Soft Power and the Necessity of Military Force."

Not all happiness and sunshine, but ends with some good possibilities for hope.

@Lerxst , @mongooz , I don't know, I guess I would not be overly suspect of those polls just based on results. Fear does strange things. One example I will admit is the large number of people who were ok with rounding up the Japanese, because "it was war time". A lot of those people were otherwise principled (I happen to have known one), but felt that one had to view that decision differently because we are at war. And now, we are perpetually "at war". Not to be Orwellian or anything.

oh yea.....create enough fear and ordnarily reasonable people will do the most unthinkable shit. and that's exactly where we've been since 9/11. the entire patriot act is a fear based pile of steaming shit. i can't believe scotus has kept quiet about it.

Yeah, I really started getting alarmed with the Patriot Act. And then Bush going cowboy with war, despite the feelings of NATO and a lot of our allies. It was one big reason I was much more of a Bernie fan than a Hillary fan, based on voting record there. I was fully pissed about it and really related to Neil's Living with War album. It became a bit of an influence on me as I picked up guitar around the time that came out.

I guess I thought things might slowly improve under President Obama, but we never did get anywhere with rolling back the Patriot Act.

i don't expect that you remember the 1960 inagural speeches....but the outgoing prez.....Dwight Eisenhower.....said some very very important things....that have come to pass....he warned against allowing the military-industrial complex becoming a large influence over national politics. well here we are. war is BIG business.....it's THE biggest business and it ain't going away. if you think big pharma is a lot of money......check the DOD budget. look at the F-35 program. for fuck's sake.
sometimes i'm not sure that Daesh (isis for you folks who don't really understand)....isn't a creation of the industry just to keep the money flowing. i know that sounds tin foil all over the place....but take a step back and think about it. we are in the almost into the FOURTH decade of this thing. it started in early 90's.....it's 2017. and there is still no resolution.....and every administration keeps doubling down over and over. what the fuck? we can't win this? we can't walk away? i don't think it's an accident, anymore.

LOL! I wasn't born until 2 years, 10 months later. :) The rest of it, not so amusing. In my intro to econ in college, we studied both Friedman (invisible hand, free market stuff, wanted to dismantle public education and the post office) and Keynes. Studying Keynes was the first time I heard the term "military-industrial complex". That was a long time ago now.

Fear is the most powerful tool available.

"How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well, certainly, there are those who are more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable. But again, truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid."

i don't look in the mirror and see any 'guilty' party.
