Unrelated, but a medicine my doctor has wanted me on for years is now an option thanks to my insurance (through Ashlee). It's still $140/mo. Ridiculous.

Damn, that is unbelievably high. The most expensive medication I take (which I take many) is $36 for a 90 day supply.

The SF raid into Yemen, planned during the last weeks of the Obama administration and deferred, that was Trump's first approved op looks like it was a bit of a mess beyond the Seal that was KIA. Multiple sources are now reporting a number of civilian deaths, as many as 50 and of course is being used to stir up more anti-American sentiment in the region.

Reuters is early reporting on Sunday had 30 total: 14 Al Quesodilla terrorists and 16 civilians, 10 of which were women and children.

Without insurance it's about $650/mo. It's something that would greatly increase the quality of my life, but I've had to go without for the last three years because I really can't afford it. Even with insurance, one month's supply is what I earn on a 12 hour kitchen shift.

Yeah, that's freaking insane. I guess there is no generic for it. I had one heart med that had no generic equivalent and it was $90 a month. When I moved to FL, I told asked my new doc there if there was something I could replace that with that had a generic and he said yes, the only reason that one had no generic was it was a special time released version, so I only had to take one a day. He gave me the same med that I could take twice a day and that is like $6 a month.

Nobody should have to pay $140 for medication to improve their life.

And with the new Republican plan they won't!

If want to improve the quality of your life, or hell, even live, it's gonna fuckin' cost ya! That shit'll be $1,400 no matter how you get your insurance, because they'll let big pharma further manipulate pricing.

If you're sick, FUCK YOU! Unless you're willing to pay out the ass. Yay Republicans!

You know, if the people were informed, a person like Trump wouldn't have made it past the primaries. Think about it. For over 200 years, we've never had a candidate like him go all the way.
oh....i'm pretty sure those that voted for him were very informed. they got exactly what they think they wanted. now we'll see how they feel when the "regime" comes after their guns, and they will. you can't have a dictatorship with a citizenry that's better armed than some country's militaries.

But if we had a requirement of previous public service for the Congress and the White House (Pres and VP), this dipshit wouldn't be in office. It's a simpler fix that would have forced these dimwits to vote for someone that has a fucking clue...about anything having to do with creating laws and governing by them.

Instead we've got a guy that only manipulates them to his advantage. Literally the type of person that the loopholes shouldn't apply to.

And don't forget the electoral college fucked this one up too. The type of despicable asshat that they're supposed to prevent from taking office takes the oval office.

Here's one of the most damaging things to my psyche since all this happened...

I agree with Dick Cheney and/or he agrees with me! I can barely fucking process this...how the FUCK did that happen?!

That's how fucked up Trump is.

Had to add...only regarding the Muslim ban. That other shit is straight up fucked-up Cheney bullshit. So at least he still vile at heart. Phew!

You don't even want to know what biologics cost. I have a bi-weekly injection that costs 5 grand a month w/o insurance or assistance. Fortunately between insurance and the mfgs support program, I'm only paying $5 a month....which still blows my mind. W/o the mfg support program, I"d prb be paying a $50-100 a month co-pay.

But, before my Dr could even prescribe a biologic, the insurance company mandated I had to try a series of cheap medications that had a limited chance of being effective but had side effects. Horrible experience with those so my Dr could finally submit the request for the biologic, which my insurance company at the time declined since it wasn't a pre-existing condition. When I switched jobs a short while later, it magically became a pre-existing condition and my new insurance coverage approved the medication.

Edit: if you want talk quality of life, my arthritis was so bad before the biologic that I was having problems walking, getting out chairs, getting out of bed. My quality of life took a huge hit and just getting through a day was a challenge. I get the insurance companies want to save money but it sucked to have to suffer through that process when a near-guaranteed silver bullet was just out of reach.

I get your point, but you shouldn't have to write that into law. The people should be smarter than this and the process should eliminate this. I am betting that after his term is over, nobody like him will ever get a chance again.

I'm sure there were a handful of folks down with all his crap, but there are many who aren't informed or just fall in line with their party. Look at the folks in Kentucky that voted for him and didn't think he was going to repeal the ACA. That doesn't sound too informed to me. My wife was showing me an argument a friend of ours on FB was having with someone we don't know. The person we don't know, said she knew Trump was a monster but that is who her party nominated so she had to vote for him. I'm sure there are tons of people who don't follow anything political or in the news. They just vote (R) or (D) when the election comes.

to give a little credit to a few of the electors, there were a number of them that did not want to vote for dumpster, but the STATES have changed their elector laws to REQUIRE the electors to vote for the person who won the most electoral votes in that state. in many states it's an all or go to jail deal. they would be prosecuted by the A.G. of the state.

the states need to fix their fucking laws. but they don't because they are all red or blue and want that to be the only way their electors vote.
