They capped the number of the House in 1929. The number of electors is the sum of your house members and senators, so if they keep that in place, it means California would end up with over 1200 people in the house which would be insane. So they could ditch the EC or change the rule that the number of electors is the sum of the house and senate. I can't imagine increasing the house to the accurate number of representatives. Imagine paying the additional members all that cash to do nothing :grin:

1200 Reps from Cali sounds good to me.

Can't they lower the number of Reps in other states to come up with a reasonable number?

Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you can truly realize your predicament and begin the long climb back up.

Yeah there's going to be collateral damage, but often times I think this is really just a necessary process America was inevitably bound for at some point.

How's that rock bottom meets bootstraps and redemption situation workingnout in Michigan/Detroit?

I'm not certain the platitudes of recovery speak (which are founded on certain self-helpy strains of Christian and esoteric thinking--including the shit that inspired The Secret) are actually applicable to the national body politic.
