And another in the "refilling the swamp" file: http://money.cnn.com/2017/01/26/investing/gary-cohn-goldman-sachs-exit-trump/
I'm just trying to figure out how he is pulling Trumps strings from back there.I am not a fan of Pence's "Father knows best, now you kids are going to get spanked" look he has in all these pictures during these executive order signings.
@Dexter Inferno , I don't feel finger pointed at (how's that for good grammar?). I frankly agree with you. I do like individual rights in personal affairs, but making sure the basics are provided just makes sense, and does not mean, IMO, that your rights have been impinged unduly.
The more I think about it, you guys need Bernie to give it another go.
You need him, as well as others who have the balls to change things around.
Start with the single payer system, and work from there.
Just imagine finding yourself in hospital, and not having to worry "how the fuck am I going to pay for this?".
There's your answer.
that's a great idea. i don't know about bernie, tho. i don't think he can really get the votes. and his age is going to be an issue in 2020.
right now here, the $$ that is in health insurance is just pornographic. separating those corporations from 50 billion a year in profits, would be like separating Stalin from russia in 1945. it could take literally generations to fix it. and that would only happen if the political will was there. our politicians are getting 10's of millions from those same corporations.
good old america......profit first.
i appreciate your optimism. it would take much much more than that. it would take a near all out revolution. again. It only takes one politician to have the balls to go for it. Soon the rest will follow.
That's what they did in Kentucky. No one wanted ACA, so they renamed it KYnect and everyone wanted to join. The Republicans will only do something if they think it was their idea.
So we just have to trick them into thinking they came up with a single payer system, which they can call something moronically patriotic sounding, and we can get on with it.
Like a bad sit-com.
Re: Bernie
I don't believe he stood a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected President against Trump. Quaint idea, really wasn't going to happen.
That's my opinion, take it for what it's worth. He's popular in his (adopted) home state, even with conservatives, but that appeal doesn't translate to the middle of the country.
Also, while I'm perfectly well aware the left is currently screwing themselves into the floor they're so befuddled, know that a LARGE chunk of the voting public is just tickled pink that Trump is stirring shit up so handily, and he's only on week one. Don't be so sure Trump won't get reelected.
he can't get the votes. period. we need to start right now, getting the game plan and the candidates together for 2020. but nobody is doing it. the democratic party is like a deer in the headlights. they're frozen.Well...he won't be what you necessarily want, but he really is what you need, as a country.

These people don't want progress. They want the freedom to be ignorant.
