I hate to tell you, but that is pretty much normal xtian behavior. I mean the basic concept of the tithe is you give 10% of your income for access to the divinity of your choice. Stop paying, and it's off to hell with you. Does god have a paypal account?

Huge difference. Congress is not a church, they are collecting a religious tithe. They are cutting taxes on the rich to make them richer. While historically, there have been instances where the church is corrupt and the head of the church has used the tithe for his own personal gain, most do not. Any one of those heads who scammed the people, I would argue is also not a Christian. Travel through any rural town in VA and you will see the little one room church where the pastor is part time and barely collects enough tithe to keep the lights on in the church. I know this because I had an uncle who ran one. He was an electrician by day and a pastor on Sundays. He had to pay the bills for the church out of his own pockets many times. There are many churches in my area that don't require a tithe.
