The only reason I'm on board with Schumer is he's had a good relationship with Trump for decades. As he should. Trump donated millions to his campaigns. Hopefully there's some goodwill in there.

You seem to have trouble understanding, so I hope this will help you out. This election signals a turning point in American politics. On the right you had a populist buffoon named Donald Trump. On the left you had a social democrat named Bernie Sanders. You also had the usual suspects on both sides of the aisle. The right-leaning populist candidate managed to win the nomination despite the establishment's best attempts to thwart him at every turn. The same can't be said about the left's populist candidate, because the DNC and the mainstream media did all they could to kill his candidacy.

The reason that the DNC's decision to retain Pelosi is a disaster is that if you keep running these "identity politics + wall street" Democrats, you are going to have a real problem on your hands when the economy tanks and the right runs an actual fascist.

Now back to your regularly scheduled temper tantrum.

No, please, no.

Since the majority of electors are Republican, if they switch their vote, it won't be for Clinton. They'll pick Pence, Ryan, McConnell, Cruz, or worse.

So not only would we have lawsuits out the wazoo (all of the state faithless elector laws), we'd have Trump supports taking their guns to the street.

And worse, I presume Obama would remain in office until all of the lawsuits were settled which would make the Trump supporters going positively berserk.

Son of a bitch.... I've been up for an hour and a half and already let myself get suckered into a Facebook argument about the fucked up Carrier deal in my state.

To which I replied "Here's the fundamental problem with that math.... it's not 1100 NEW jobs. It's 1100 existing jobs that are staying.... while they are shuttering another plant entirely, AND giving the corporation itself millions in tax subsidies. This is a bait and switch and still a net loss for the state. There is no way to explain around that."

He comes back with "explain the math then behind the obama auto industry and bank bail out.... is any different? It saved "existing jobs" did it not? smh"

Me: "That was a loan that was paid back with interest. Not money going into the company's pocket, never to return."

And all the Trumpers are falling in line with more "but it saved these jobs... " Fuck. Going to have to stay off FB for a while. :mad:

This is going to be a rough 4 years explaining to all these Trump Cheerleaders why they are idiots. :annoyed:
