Then of course you read about the shit the Clinton cry babies are doing as well. A number of which are saying some have to die for democracy. That is never going away just like two faced people like Clinton who stay clean on the outside and stab Americans in the back on the inside.

If your contribution to the political face of the nation is voting every 4 years or 2 years then you are part of the problem. Government will not act on your behalf automatically. You must participate often. Get off your ass and contact your representatives and let them know your voice. If you do not the government official is then acting on his own behalf because they have no other guidance.

Our representatives don't give a rat's ass about our voice - they only care about what's going to keep them in office and keep campaign funds rolling in. Republican voters have more than demonstrated that they only really care about two issues: guns and abortion. Republicans know they can do whatever they want, as long as they keep telling their constituents guns are a God given right and abortions are murder. They don't even have to make anything happen - they just need to keep repeating the magic mantra.

Since the election, I have had to disengage myself from facebook for the most part. Which is not a bad thing. I will be continuing to source my news elsewhere (it was never my source to begin with). But right now, I feel like I cannot go there without being assaulted by an inflammatory opinion or statement. It is an extension of what I complained about in my first post in this thread. But worse. Too bad, because I enjoy my connection with family, musicians, artists and athletes around the world I have there. But I just have to give it a break for the most part for a while. Yesterday, I popped on to see what was wrong with the forum, and hopped on mark's page and the guitar, guitar, guitar thing, to connect with you guys, but that was all I could handle.

My wife invited any and all of her "friends" that were Trump supporters to unfriend her. She's since gone about not using it after getting sucked into some "discussions" last Thursday and Friday. The West Virginia thing highlights the concern and my son heard some of it at his school this week...hateful, offensive, racist, and generally shitty things are already being said more freely/openly as if it's okay since Trump won and his message resonated with people that we should all be allowed to be disrespectful in our daily life, because it's free speech. But let's keep out Muslims and Mexicans and lean our national philosophy to white Christian values...so use the First Amendment, but only the parts related to how I want to use it.

I'm still really bothered by the Bannon thing. Media flacks in general aren't ideal cabinet members, but when one is aligned with white nationalism and posted "stories" that were either partially or completely untrue...that should scare the crap out of everyone. I'm not talking about analysts and commentators, but the folks running a media outlet and making decisions to spread half-truths and lies as if fact. Yeah, I know politics is and always has been dirty business, but it's never been so obviously manipulated in my life time. Well, that's not true...

so many conflicts of interests happening its nuts.

trump does not have release tax returns or put his companies and assets into blind trusts because his kids will be running them. now his daughter's husband will have a prominent role in his administration, maybe even code word security clearance. gee I wonder if they will talk to each other to protect his best interests and gain wealth?

Rudy Giuliani for sec of state even though his side business involves him getting paid six figures per speech to many of the countries he will be working with each day. its like they weren't just admonishing Hillary for pretty much the exact same thing?

props to Mike Rodgers for not wanting to be a part of this shit show.

also, pence in a lawsuit right now to keep his emails private. god knows you wouldn't want the public seeing those huh?

i am with bill moyers in that this whole debacle can be laid at the feet of the media. they gave trump all the attention he wanted and then some. and encouraged all of his bullshit by NOT challenging anything he said. i guaran f'ing tee you that if gingrich had come out in public and said the same shit that trump did, the mainstream media would have crucified him. but they didn't go after trump, thereby giving him the green light to not only say the things he was saying back in june/july, but to escalate his rhetoric even more. and then they didn't call him on that either.

trump and his ilk are bad bad shit for this country. but we need a complete flush of the media in america.

Further proof that Facebook is awful and people are incredibly gullible.

"According to data from a Facebook-monitoring tool, the top 20 fake news stories collectively got more engagements — shares, likes, and comments — than the top 20 factually accurate news stories shared by mainstream news outlets."

The media deserve some blame, but the media's audience (i.e., we slack jawed, witless goobers who make up the American viewing public) deserve most of the blame.

THEY WOULDNT GIVE US WHAT WE WANT IF WE DIDNT WANT IT. Everyone who so much as hate watched or gawked at the Trump train wreck is responsible. That's everygoddamn one of us.

A POX ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES!!!!

Glenn Beck is a ninny and a showman. He's not a voice of anything. The breadth and depth of his thought is little more than AA platitudes and chicken little fearmongering for the sake of ratings. He's a former morning zoo deejay. He's no political oracle.

they're all morning zoo djs.
