OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

Those "manufacturing jobs" that BOTH candidates so cavalierly promised to revive are NEVER coming back. The "middle class prosperity" that was built on industrial labor demand is a thing of history. The results of last night are a direct consequence and reaction to the loss of not just jobs, but a whole way of life for what was formerly known as the "American Middle Class". Yesterday's election results are a clear reaction to that loss, which is indeed bitterly felt by many, and will no doubt be felt more and more in the future to come, despite any promises to the contrary by any political candidate.

This, all day long, over and over. I think there's a colossal portion of the populace that really doesn't grasp this.

This job turned obama from Denzel Washington to Danny Glover over 8 years. Trump is a 70 year old who doesn't exercise and has added inches to his height to stay ahead of being labeled "obese". I predict at least two years of president pence.

Christ! That's almost worse.

consensual sexual activity and sexual assault are not even in the same ballpark. It wasn't misinformation actual audio from Trump's mouth, I grab them by the pussy and kiss them without asking. That sexual assault plain and simple.

Hilary was not my candidate and no cool-aid was involved. When the choice is a serial sexual assaulter and anyone else, I'm picking the anyone else.
When someone is a position of power (I'd say the Pres of the US qualifies), and has sexual relations with a subordinate, the consensual part goes out the window - period. Officers in the military can be discharged (i.e. fired) for having a physical relationship with enlisted personal. What Clinton did with an intern was beyond an abuse of power.

What Trump did was run his mouth like a sexist pig. Just because he was speaking like a pig does not mean he actually did such things. His description of "locker room" talk is pretty much what it sounded like to me.

The fact that people feel they have to "explain Trump" to their children tells me they've already previously done so, and in ways just like they heard on the news.

HALIBURTON
You're probably correct..

We had a ship load of supplies turned away when Hurricane Katrina happened because it was said that Halliburton would be doing the supplying. And we were actually there before them.. I had a big part in that when I had to call in people on the weekend to off load and warehouse the goods..We gave the stuff away over time to the local needy before some of it was past its BBD...

It’s good, but it ignores the other side of the rural white poverty coin: those people consistently vote against their own interests. How do urban liberals enact government programs to help people who believe government programs are intrusive wastes of tax dollars? How do we create trade policy to benefit people who want trade wars that would only make their lives worse?

What a load of bollocks. What Clinton did was infidelity and perhaps abuse of power. However, it is not a sexual offense. It was sex between 2 cobsenting adults.

Meanwhile Trump is still facing trials for sexual assault. Which is a criminal offense.

But carry on defending the indefensible.

i just thought of a silver lining. Maybe a silver lining is not the right phrase, but the republicans hold the house, senate, presidency and soon the court.

Once they fail miserably, they have no one to pin the blame on but themselves. No its Obama's fault or Pelosi or Reid, it is all on them.

Maybe after 4 years of failure there will be sweeping changes in congress and the presidency. Too bad the court will take longer.

Let's just hope they don't wreck it beyond repair.

Unless I'm mistaken (it's possible), Trump is facing civil trials - not criminal. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say all of them are politically motivated and none of them will be successful.

What Bill Clinton did was infidelity and an abuse of power, and, had he actually been in the military (even though he was commander in chief at the time) would have been a UCMJ punishable crime (fraternization and adultery).

Four years of inaction on climate change is going to kill a lot of people.

This country is stupid enough to elect W twice and Trump at least once. You think just four years of being run into the ground will cause the development of rational thinking?
