It isn't a "charge" at all. This is a civil case. The female in question is wanting money.

Just to give the accuser a fair shake (or accusers in general, I haven't looked into this case at all), there are a lot of reasons to do a civil trial, even though the only possible outcome is getting cash. I don't think OJ's accusers were looking for cash, they just wanted a "guilty" stuck to OJ in whatever way they could.
