OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

I don't recall mainstream media outlets reporting the candidate has "clinched" the day before this batch of primaries, in circumstances like these, with zero qualification in the headline. No "effectively," no "presumptive," no "if circumstances stay the same," no nothing. She's the nominee. That's it.
Yeah, I get your point there. I am not one for conspiracy theories, but I do see your point and dislike the effect quite a bit.

I say Bernie goes till the convention stirring up trouble until the party agrees to some point or two of his, then he gives a rousing speech and grudgingly concedes. Thats how conventions should be done.

My hope is that they spitefully alter the convention rules so that Bernie can’t even speak and he just ends up in jail while protesting with his remaining supporters outside.

Bernie won't concede until the convention, because there's always the possibility that Hillary will get indicted for her emails.

I love that the Dem nominee is under investigation and the Rep nominee is the defendent in a civil suit that claims he defrauded people. These are the best the two major parties can come up with?

Don't see why he should go in jail just because some of his supporters were jerks. Unless we just start arbitrarily jailing people we don't like, in that case I'll start a list.

maybe they are the two with the LEAST legal liabilities in our government.
that and no person that would be a decent candidate is willing to go through the 'slash and burn' media, that we have today.

One does not rule the roost without breaking a few eggs along the way.

Or ya know, being a total cock.

Well, Bernie won only two states last night, and not all that convincingly on those. Personally hope he sees what happens in DC, and lets all the people vote, and then calls it.

So, now those of us Bernie supporters have a choice. Support Hillary or go for Stein or otherwise. I am in the support Hillary camp. I may hold my nose a bit (there are a some things I like about her though), but the S. Court nominations, and a few other things, are too important in my mind. Preventing Trump is pretty important too. Just my opinion. Please consider your choice. :)

It doesn't matter. States will fall into their typical red/blue BS, with a lean in HC's favour. If it's close at all it will come down to Florida, and possibly Ohio. But I bet Hill takes Ohio.

Were it a popular vote I think Trump would have a greater chance.

I will have to watch the polls. I may end up what I did in 2000. In 2000, Bush was going to win my state by a landslide, so I voted for Nader. My vote was cast in hope that a third party would get federal funding. This 2 party system needs to go. If Trump is killing it in VA, I will probably vote for Stein or Johnson. Whichever one has the best chance of getting the 5% of the popular vote so their party can get the cash next election. If it is close, I will vote for Hillary. I agree with Bernie, that no matter what her flaws are, on her worst day, she is better than Trump.

Don't hang!

@sunvalleylaw : i have been in the 'hold my nose and vote for Hill' for some time now. i don't like her and i don't trust her, but as you alluded to, there are WAY higher things at stake here than just Hill's issues. half the GOP is against Trump. that's saying something. it's saying "we must stop Trump'.
and, a vote for anyone but Hill, IS virtually a vote for Trump.

@sonik : i don't believe that a popular vote would elect Trump. the polls are B.S. they're only polling a couple thousand people at a time and even then they are targeting registered members of each party. i think the vast majority of americans are fed up with the stink of this election and are sitting on the side lines until november.
i don't personally know anybody that likes Trump or would vote for him. i think november is going to be a landslide for Hill.

That's sort of what I'm doing, except I have a feeling that the closer we get to the GE and the more debates we get through you're going to have a LOT of support for HRC. That's why I'm backing Stein at this point, but if things get too tight here in Ohio I might need to reevaluate.

What I do not appreciate is being told to "Fall in line." If the party insists insulting and ignoring the progressive base, I might have to withdraw my support on principals alone.

If the Dems controlled the house and senate, I would be right there with you. But with them being controlled by the Republicans, they could do some serious damage in 4 years.

I think the Libertarians have a better shot at 5% than the Greens. They're just better organized.
