Yeah but their process is different. The super delegates don't vote until the convention, they can change their vote before then. Kasich didn't have a snowball's chance in hell to win when he bailed. Did he even win anything besides Ohio?

If, at the end of the day, he is still trailing Clinton by more than a few pledged delegates, he'll concede.

If, by some miracle, he pulls ahead, he'll stick around.

My bet is that Clinton will take today's delegates by a healthy margin, and Sanders will concede.

Vote matters as much as it did yesterday when AP reported and rest of media zealously parroted that anonymous superdelegates still planned on voting for Clinton and thus it's over, even though they don't vote for six weeks, and even though she can't win on pledged delegates alone. I'm sorry but if you don't think the timing was deliberate, you're a moron. This was a deliberate effort to discourage low-information voters - and it will work because "I heard Hillary won," full stop.

The "West Coast Effect" has been well documented over the years. Way before Hillary. Perhaps an idea like Chad's to have the polls stay open longer in the east could help (but I doubt it as the media would still just project from the earlier numbers) in general elections. Not sure what to do with the messed up primary system.

If it is a super pac, it does whatever the pac wants. A big hooker and blow party, sure why not. If it is money directly given to the campaign, it can be rolled over for another election, used to repay personal expenses during the campaign, given to charity or back to the donors.

I don't recall mainstream media outlets reporting the candidate has "clinched" the day before this batch of primaries, in circumstances like these, with zero qualification in the headline. No "effectively," no "presumptive," no "if circumstances stay the same," no nothing. She's the nominee. That's it.
