New study shows that people stop listening to new music at 33

Hmm, that sounds younger than I would guess. I would think more like 40.

I still check out new stuff, but I have to admit at a much slower pace than when I was in my 20s and 30s. I blame reduced listening time.

This. The only time I get to listen to music is in my car, when I'm by myself.

Much of the new stuff I "check out" doesn't warrant a second listen anyway, so it kinda kills the motivation to search for new stuff.

I get bored with music easily so I'm always trying to find something new (good) to listen to.
Exactly. Part of the reason I hate listening to the radio is they play the same crap over and over again. Classic Rock stations have been doing it for 30+ years.

I listen to a lot of new music. Some of it is actually new, and some of it is new to me. The last new thing I heard was two weeks ago. It was the Renaud Garcia-Fons solo album. I've never heard anything like it.

The internet in general and Pandora in particular keeps me hearing new stuff pretty frequently.
