From tonight's gig. Guy plays along to a bunch of house / balearic dance tracks and is flipping awesome. Glad I got this shot, he asked me to pass any good ones on last time I played alongside him but he dances around so fast and my shutter is set at 25ms so he ended up all blurred.

I'm looking fora new lens for my Nikon D3200. The two lenses that came with it are horrible (non VR 18-55 and 55-200). Recommendations? I do mostly outdoor shots.

I find that I have the 55-200 on the camera most of the time outdoors, but I'm almost always at the short end of the range (which oddly is the worst performance end on this lens).

Sigma 18-300. the best walk around lens i've ever had. mine is the 18-250, and i've had it for going on 10 years. i'm seriously thinking of going to the 18-300.

i'm not sure why this site will NOT let me post the amazon URL, but it won't.

One thing I've noticed about the lenses that came with my T6i is that the auto focusing really sucks out at the extreme end of the ranges. It's loosing 5-15 mm on each end at least by my estimation. Then again I could be making some noob mistake.

I've got the same camera and lenses and have upgraded the kit lens to a sigma 17-50mm f2.8 which I like a lot . For the telephoto I'm hoping that tamron is decent improvement - it will also work on a full frame camera.

After selling my Canon 6D and 24-105 which I had for 6 years, I just got the Sony a7III and Sony 24-105. I work in the photographic industry and am able to get some deep discounts on equipment directly from the manufacturers, I came out ahead dollar wise. I still have my Canon 70-200 f2.8 L IS up for sale but if it doesn't sell, I'll get a Sigma MC-11 EF-E mount adapter and still use it as it's still a great lens.

Porsche Super Cup race picture. This pic and the next one were shot on a Canon EOS 5d MKIV with a 28-300L lens. The first pic used some crop and a preset called Center of Attention in Luminar. I was trying to highlight the racing line in black, add some vignette to draw attention to the cars, and make the smoke stick out on the back car. The second went to photoshop and got a vertical tilt shift effect and then a Vivid filter. I wanted to make the front wheel off the ground and the driver's head stand out of what was originally a not very interesting picture.
