2016-17 NFL Thread.

Two good free agent signings as the Eagles helped Carson Wentz by signing Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffrey as their new wide receivers. The offense is now greatly improved.

Who knows. Cousins or McCoy depending on it they make the deal with the 49ers for Cousins. I have been ignoring the Wizards and Capitals for too long. I think it is time to abandon the NFL for the NBA, NHL and MLB. At least those teams are run well.
The MLS season just started...

Jeffrey was a monster, wish him the best. He did miss 11 games over the last two seasons. Then consider how many games he played where he wasn't 100% when he did come back.

So I guess we gutted the Bears QB ranks with Hoyer and Barkley signing 2 year contracts.

Any Bears fans want to chime in? I really don't know much about either one.

I didn't know Hoyer was with the Bears. I only remember him from Cleveland. Hey, maybe RGIII will end up in San Fran in a few years

Chick Hernandez reporting that Cousins signed the franchise tag but will not negotiate a long term deal until Bruce Allen has been removed from power.

Hoyer threw 6? TD and 0 interceptions last year for the Bears, until he got hurt...

Trying to remember, can't. Last season was soooo bad, I tried to block it out. Guess it worked.

Patriots have been ruthless this off season. If they retain Butler, they'll be clearly improved on both sides of the ball, and the draft is yet to come.

As a Pats fan, I agree. I'm especially excited that we have not (yet) lost Butler or Hightower.

Of the two, I imagine Hightower having the biggest impetus to bolt. He's already won 2x, and has played an enormous role on the defense. Like, "how is he not hurt more" size role.
