Let's say you're having a mid-life crisis and want to relive your glory days of 80s-90s metal shredder guitars; super strats w/ trems, Vs, whatever.....what's your weapon of choice from today's used market from that era?

Jem?
RG?
Soloist?
Dinky?
Californian?
Baretta?
Gunslinger?
Mirage?
Something else?

A mint RG 565 would be nice. Dinkys are cool as are Californians.

Here's my Dinky

I pretty much skipped that whole era playing bluegrass for the most part so I don’t have a clue. I’d like to try one of those Steve Morse or Petrucci Music Mans, that’s about as close as I’d get to a shredder guitar.

both of ya, TL/DR?

"what's your weapon of choice from today's used market from that era?"

And I stated I don't have a clue. The few ones I've picked up I didn't care for:
1. The wide, flat "shredder" neck profile.
2. Floyd Rose/locking nut tomfoolery.
3. Neon colors and other crazy paint schemes like zebra stripes and such.
In summary, I avoided that section of the racks in the store just as much as I avoid that kind of music.

You guys keep posting, and I’ll let you know if I see one that I’d allow in my home, workplace, or vehicle.
