What are you listening to right now?

A little of the ol' Sgt. P.

Glad you didn't add the "s." :embarrassed:

On my way in to work, I was listening again to the George Harrison Early Takes. The version of Awaiting On You All, with one electric guitar, bass, and drums, is fantastic; I like it better then the Spectorized ATMP version.

I'm at workshop right now, but this morning I was listening to Paolini's Inheritance audiobook and then some Frightened Rabbit (Midnight Organ Fight). I really like their sound and have a great appreciation for them singing with their natural accents, it adds to the uniqueness and presumed authenticity...note the presumed.

Thank to jj for reminding me how much I liked this:

Steven Wilson's new album "The Raven that refused to sing (and other stories)".

Really really good. "Surprisingly" tasteful guitar playing from Guthrie Govan btw, and Marco Minnemann being the usual monster on the drums.
Some of the best prog I've heard in ages. :thu:

The New Robben Ford 'Bringing it back home'. It's no 'Talk to your Daughter', but it's not bad. A little jazzier, somewhat quirky. Obviously trying to stay away from the expected.

Jimi Hendrix 'People Hell and Angels'. I'm really disappointed. Some leftover bits and pieces, pats of some studio tracks and some jams. Whoever gave this the green light, fuck you.

Mumford and Sons 'Sigh no more'. Sorry, this is the second or third time I've listened to this and it still sucks. I know a lot of folks dig this but I find it annoying as hell. I couldn't get it off my ipod fast enough.

A sad commentary on how using a name to make money trumps respect for the person's fans.

People Hell and Angels
Not bad if a bit spotty. I like about 5 songs. It ranks higher than Valleys of Neptune, but that isn't saying much.
