Is this the new one? I listened a few times over the past few weeks and it isn't doing it for me. It's too slick and fuzaky for my liking. I love Jimmy and enjoy his work with the Aquarium Rescue Unit and even moreso in Widespread Panic (better tunes for him to play off of), but his solo stuff isn't grabbing me musically. Phenomenal player, not doubt. Not a great writer yet...at least to me.

Yeah. I'm really enjoying. And the writing definitely has that "guitar player putting tunes together for an instrumental record" vibe but I'm cool with that.

i'll be listening/watching Jimi (Hendrix......not James) on youtube this evening. i'll start with Hey Joe.....since it's been my head all day.

i may get drawn into Paul Gilbert's version after.....freakin' blistering.
 


The whole album, of course. And, I might actually agree with "Rolling Stone" putting this as the "Best Album Of All Time", as I continue to listen to it, over and over.

God, it's just about perfect.
