WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO......RIGHT NOW......Mk III

Quite enjoying the debut album from AVKRVST (new-ish Norwegian prog/metal band).

VERY influenced by Blackwater Park--era Opeth and PT. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :wink:
Nice to hear some prog/metal again that isn't a never ending assault of constant way over the top polyrhythms and shredding (are you listening Haken?).

How do we feel about Ghost's cover of Television's 'See No Evil'?



I have to say, I really dig it. It's 'arena rocking' an indie foundational track, but it's such a strong song that it can be reconfigured as a big rock number and it works great IMO.
 
I am obsessed with Brutus, a Belgian post-hardcore/metal/whatever band. Interesting quasi-country/jangly guitar riffs and Stefanie is a badass singer/drummer



The bass player is playing a Bass 6? or a regular Jazzmaster and doin the bass with his feet?

 
Read Lita Ford’s book and so went back to listen to her playing after the Runaways.

Found the book a little disturbing in places. Very weird about what happened in her divorce. One sentence she notes getting a good amount of cash two sentences later complains how she had to take such a sucking deal. Weird.
 
Watching Elton John's supposed last ever UK gig at Glastonbury.

I saw him a few years ago and he sucked so hopefully this is better.

I just previewed it and will listen later but I like their kinda 1980's Poison sound (at least that's what i was hearing)...btw about a year ago there was a customer who came into our shop, college age girl and she was wearing a Ghost shirt, I thought that wsas pretty cool.
