Kick Henry Jackassowski
I hope that do well, it's a cool shop. Maumee needs a shop. They just don't seem to know the market well. I know they recently moved back from Florida. Maybe that stuff moves down there. They have a odd guitar selection too. They have the low end covered with the Sterling line, but the bread and butter $500-$1,200 guitar segment is not well represented. The only thing they offer are D'Angelico's and Supro's. The D'Angelico's a nice enough but they are fairly niche, and everyone is blowing Supro's out for 50-60% off right now. The Zematis stuff is too weird for me.they have lower power friedmans. the little combo is actually called the small box amp. but, you know, it's a grand or something.
i like John, and i wish him all the luck with this store, but yea......not gonna make a living selling that level equipment in toledo.
When you look at his amps it's either super high end or Line 6 Spider's. I've stopped out to buy strings a few times and last time I was there they only offered Ernie Balls or D'Angelico's, no D'Addarios at all. He does have a very nice pedal selection, and higher end pedals aren't easy to find in town, so I'll give him some pedal business. I think he will probably sell a few Taylors as long as he stocks some of the more affordable models.
