Finished up the Gretsch tonight for pickup tomorrow.

Only to find a broken truss rod. Wtf. How does someone break a truss rod?

So Woody's NGD got me thinking about a Vox SDC. I had played one when I got my Tube Driver amp and liked it quite a bit. There was a SDC-33 at a local MGR in Black Burst that I have seen many times and the color always caught my eye. They got a bunch of Vox guitars almost a year ago as new old stock and they just didn't sell. I think they had this one originally priced $549. A few weeks ago they marked it down to $449. I still couldn't justify the price when I have a good group of guitars and don't really need it. Well yesterday they marked all the Vox guitars down again and priced this one at $249. At that price I had to check it out again. To make it better I had a MGR rewards card that apparently had $30 in credit on it so I picked up a new Vox SDC-33 for $219.

What a great guitar. I've been playing it for the last hour and it plays great and is light as hell. Really comfortable.

I just noticed the online prices for both the VOX sdc22 and SDC33 has gone back up. $550 for the SDC33 now.
 
It sounds like it would be a good time to sell it and keep the profit, Woody.

How have you been? I haven't seen you here in a few days.
 
Just got the graduation pic for kid #2. It's hard for me to believe that both of my little babies will have graduated college in five weeks. Does that mean I'm old?!?!

BS, she's a beautiful young woman. Yes, it means that you are officially old. I know I felt that way when my nieces graduated college. I raised two of them as my own.

I fucking hate that. I've had my old Toyota trucked keyed for no good reason and the driver side mirror on my Suburban smashed over night a few years ago in front of our old house. People suck.
 
That sucks D-man..... Tire mojo.

I spent some more time with the Vox this morning and wow is it a nice guitar. I almost want to find a SDC-55 now. The pickups can go from brutal metal to jazzy clean with a flick of the switch and the thing is lighter than my Strats. I was a little worried about how it would balance on a strap but it feels good. I'm still in the honeymoon phase but right now I'm completely blown away.
 
DMAN - sorry to hear that.

Saturn - I think the Sdc55 has the same pup's. But I'm thinking the timing was good on getting one. I stewed a long time before I pulled the trigger.

BS - beautiful girl.
