The search is over.

I think it's 2.72:1.

The Rubicon has a 4:1, and electric locking front and rear difs, but they are much more expensive than the Sport.

I think you'll be good gear wise. Mine is 2.65:1, and even with my 3;42 axle gears, it's really low. I never wished for a lower gear at Moab. I do need it for around town though.

Actually, I guess the wild card would be my transmission, my first is really low, 6.55:1.

@Prages

This just passed me going down the road! Took a couple of pics when he pulled over. Lol

Yeah... the YJ grill ruins it!

That's pretty bad ass, but not at all what I want.

If I lived in Moab, I'd build one.

I asked him where in the hell he goes rock crawling in Florida. He just laughed. Said he takes it to Ocala sometimes. Most crazy stuff here usually has a snorkel up over the roof.

I'll just leave this here. Somebody didn't think this out very well. Would probably make Mrs. P cranky.

Yeah, we won't be doing that in Mrs. P's Jeep.

Mine? Once I get it lifted, put some skid plates and dif covers on it... and as long as she's not around...

One never knows.

:embarrassed:

Honestly, that was one of the dumbest videos I have seen. No one in their right mind would have even attempted that with a stock jeep, and even so should have backed off. Dragging over that rock was retarded. Some basic geometry should have told them that.

More money than sense.

Which brings me to my next post.

I've got a couple of things in my cart at Quadratec. Just waiting for a coupon code before I pull the trigger. I'll keep you all updated. :embarrassed:

I know what that is!

Probably not. :embarrassed:

I'm going with a "put all the heavy stuff on first, do the lift last" game plan.

What I have in my cart is a recovery kit (tow strap, tree saver, snatch block, etc), vinyl flooring to replace the carpet up front, and a rear bumper/tire carrier. I'm up in the air about buying the vinyl flooring for the cargo area...I may just pull the carpet and bedline that part.

Once the rear bumper/tire carrier is done, then I'll start looking at lifts/tires/wheels.

coupon code? I didn't know they offered coupon codes. Where do I find those? Mrs. Rev is unhappy with the headlights so guess who's ordering LEDs.

They send out emails every few days with coupon codes. Extreme Terrain does the same.

I'd suggest making an account at both Quadratec and Extreme Terrain, find the headlights you want and put them in your cart and leave them there. Within a few days, you'll get a coupon code for the stuff in your cart.

At least, that's the trend I've seen. Granted, Extreme Terrain sends out more coupons than Quadratec. I probably get a coupon every 2 days from them. Sometimes it's $5 off, sometimes it's $10 off, occasionally it's a percentage.

Excellent

And yes, the headlights/fog lights aren't great.

I got LED fog light bulbs for the stock enclosures. They don't have a great beam, but they are much, much brighter than stock.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H8CAC5K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And we bought some brighter headlight bulbs as well.

Both are big improvements over the stock bulbs.

And they were MUCH cheaper than buying new LED fog lights and headlights.

FWIW that'll work with a bunch of online retailers. As long as it's not a time sensitive purchase, you've got nothing to lose trying it.

I just checked for my own curiosity. I have spent $2,190 with Quadratec to date, and I have an account. No coupon has ever been sent.
