The search is over.

Just found my bolts at the Fastenal a few blocks from work. If they'd been open yesterday, my winch would already be installed.

Heh.

Just saw this in the parking garage. My camera lens is scratched to hell, but you get the idea.

Oh, then we are definitely running one of the good trails. Bring your big boy pants.

BTW, as I said, it's really not that bad. You'd have a blast. Here is a Subaru Legacy running Hell's Revenge. He has to be really cautious in a couple spots, and scrapes a bit, but he makes it.

I've joined a Wrangler forum, and I'm learning all kinds of neat things about the Jeep.

I knew from reading a bit in the owner's manual that in 4WL, traction control is turned off, and the clutch safety switch is disengaged, so you can start the engine without pushing the clutch.

I've also found out, just in the last day or two (and I tried both of these things because they sound far-fetched, but I'll be damned if they aren't true), that the Jeep has some kind of anti-stall feature.

You can just release the clutch and as long as the wheels can turn (IE, you're not butted up against a rock or a tree or something) the ECM will give the engine enough juice to get you moving. You can even just pop the clutch and the thing won't stall. Funny, because I've stalled it a few times pulling out the conventional way. :embarrassed:

You can also apply as much brake as you want without pushing the clutch, and the thing will crawl right along.

Both of these work, and they work whether you're in 2WH, 4WH, or 4WL.

Pretty snazzy! It's amazing the stuff they come up with now.

My truck has a rudimentary version, I think it's located in my feet. lol.

It's been like, 2 weeks or something since I've done anything to the Jeep other than gas and an oil change.

Mrs. P just bought a treadmill.

I have to get that dent out of the budget before getting a rear bumper, wheels, tires, lift, regear....

Yes, I'm already thinking regear.

Here we go.

It's still going to be spring before I get wheels, tires, and lift. Rear bumper could happen this year.

I'm not going to worry about gears until lift, wheels, and tires are done.

If it's a dog, I'll regear. If it still moves pretty well, I'll stick with the 3.73s.

You have a stick, thats a lot more forgiving than an automatic.

I don't suppose you know what the low range ratio is on the transfer case?
