CBHScott, I just bought that Thinline Telecaster. I have been thinking about one since I played a 72 Reissue Thinline Tele a couple of years ago. At $499, I just couldn't resist. It should get here by Friday, so pics of the actual guitar are forthcoming.

I just came here to post the same thing.

There's also the SDC22 for $199.99 at Musicians Friend

I happen to think it looks muy caliente in Sunburst:

Music123 has this one for $499.99

So that should come to $130.99 with the price match. I submitted for one, but haven't received a match yet. If/when I do, I think I'm gonna pull the trigger. I just need to decide between the single cut in silver or the double cut in sunburst.
I really like the unique pickup switching options on both of these, and figure it's worth <$200 to check it out.

Just ordered a silver single cut SSC33 from Music123.
It took a little finagling, but I got the price match - $180.99 shipped.

While I do like the looks of the double cut better, the SC is one model farther up the line, and uses the same pickups that are in a number of the higher $ Voxes.

Got my VOX today and I'm extremely happy with it. It's worth every bit of the $550 list price. For $250 at Musicians Friend, or $181 with a price match it's ridiculously nice.
I can't find any seams in the mahogany body, and the maple cap is at least 1/2 inch thick. The guitar's thinner than a Les Paul - maybe about 2/3 the thickness. Belly contour is comfy. Neck feels good - a little meat to it but not too chunky. Nice dark, tight grained piece of rosewood on the fretboard. No issues with the fretwork, action and playability are good, but I'll probably tweak things a bit once I change strings to something a bit heavier. Silver finish is pretty great - clear gloss over something kinda metal-flakey but not too over the top. Fit and finish are near flawless. The tuners and bridge are a little atypical but work perfectly and seem well made.

Pickups sound good and the tapping switch is a real bonus. Yeah, humbucker mode isn't as "Les Paul" as a Les Paul, and Single Coil isn't as "Fendery" as a Telecaster, but who cares. All of the pickup positions sound good, and they definitely seem to have their own thing going.

Overall I can't find a single bad thing to say about it, which is pretty rare for a sub $200 guitar.

Srsly. $1,000 list price? When the hell did Mexi Fenders get so expensive?
I bought my first MIM Strat in 1995 for $285. Adjusted for inflation to 2013 dollars, that's $436.84. The MIM Standards go for $499, now, right?

That's about a 13% price increase above inflation. Which, granted isn't a lot, but it's not nothing either.

I'm thinking more in terms of the Acoustasonic Tele posted above. $1k seems like an awful lot to pay for a mexi tele, regardless of whether or not it has an acoustic style bridge instead of an electric one.
