You have quality - we have quantity.

actually things will be picking up in a few weeks for me....weekly Thursday night Blues jam starting on the 19th, I've got an instructor concert at Vanguard University on the 20th (Mike Stern tunes at 9am), our cover band and blues bands are starting to pick up gigs and I have a friends band calling me for weddings and stuff. I think folks are starting to remember my phone neumber.

And in that time I've released 3 albums and one EP with 3 different bands.

In that decade I have played on three albums for other people, produced a song that got local radio airplay, and scored three short films, but can't finish a frickin' 5 song EP.:facepalm:

Yeah, you suffer from the typical solo project disease. You're too close to the songs/too picky to get them done.
When that happens, sometimes it's a great idea to get someone else to record and mix it.

I'm often too self-critical when it comes to my songs, and have with time learned to just say "fuck it, that's good enough".
We can't all be brilliant all the time

But does anyone else?

We did sell quite a bit of them, and reports I've gotten indicates that they were quite good. :)

I routinely get people coming up to me when I'm in the pub or something, telling me how much they miss one of the bands. :embarrassed:
The other one was the internet prog collaboration I did (Azureth). Reviews for that album were very good, so I choose to believe them.

Done with work, and got another week's vacation coming up.

I suspect my beer intake will take off again. :embarrassed:

Luckily I've scheduled a few rehearsals, so I have to capable of driving some of the evenings next week.
