Not being a filthy Yankie scoundrel I was blissfully unaware that it was 4th of July weekend :embarrassed:

This is my last Saudi Sunday and so far I've spent it hanging around the poolside listening to some latin jazz and readign some more of my mammoth "America: A narrative history" book. Wilson has just kicked the shit out of Teddy :cop:

Chilling out looking for some new musical endeavours when I get back home (4 months drumming on an Australian cruise anyone :shrug: )

In about 10 minutes I'm goign to pull my last batch of cider out of the freezer and have a good old session before the football. Of course it's entirely scientific as I wouldn't dare serve this to my pals at the leaving party without knowing how potent it is first :grin:

I'd kill for 96 just now. It's hit over 140 a few times in the last 2 weeks here. :eek:

Mercifully it looks like we're going to hover around 50 degrees c (122f) for the rest of my time here. :facepalm:

Awesome, we're going there in a month. It'll be my first proper, week-long vacation in five years.

Tonight - do a couple of odd jobs around the house, have pizza and watch a movie w/ teh wifey.

Tomorrow - Chillax most of the day, go to a party at some douchebag's house, drink all his beer, and pee on his patio.

Sunday - ?

Monday - ?

So far it's shaping up to be a very relaxing weekend, which probably means that I'll get myself involved in some big project around the house and end up working way too hard.
 
I'm tired, we payed a bike night gig with nancy last night, tonight is the westmoreland county arts and heritage festival...anyone near Latrobe PA? Stop out. 6:30 -8, then we play the after party for the administration and vendors 10:embarrassed:0 - 11:30

Nice! There is a music store down ther off of Route 1 South - I've purchased some stuff there (tax free).

There are also outlets for the Mrs. and if you park in Rehoboth the main street has tons of really cool shops (home made arts and crafts and stuff like that - not the commercial mass crap).

The Purple Parrot in Rehoboth has pretty decent food - but it's known for a "rainbow" bar so be weary. There is also Flying Dogfish Brewry as well not so "rainbow".

Oh I know all the sights. That was my family's go-to beach since I was a baby. I haven't been there for years but it's almost like a second home between Lewes and Rehoboth. I remember playing my first Martin at that music shop on Rt. 1, it was some fancy ass $3000 model. The employees were clutching their chest until they realized I could actually play the thing. I love it there, the boardwalk, Grotto Pizza, playing pinball and ski ball in the arcade, tossing frisbee on the beach, fishing for flounder and crabbing, it's the perfect vacation for me. Add the fact that it's the first time ever that my 90-year-old grandmother will get to be together with all of her daughter's (my mom) kids and grandkids in one place, and I can't think of a better way to spend a week. :)

It was OK last night we were just too tired to really batter into it. Bit watery but the last batch had so much sugar in it it tasted like a bacardi breezer so if I keep on making it back home I think starting off with a recipe in between will give some decent results.:thu:

Ok it should be chilled enough now :)
 
Hey Mark, where can my gf and I catch a firework show in orange?

Friday - rest, pack back pack for tomorrow.
Saturday - hiking up mt baldy for charity. Weather should be nice I'm getting conflicted reports about the wind. One service says 50 mph and one says 10. So our route might need to be modified. Then come home grab a beer and watch wrestling.

Sun/mon - nada
 
Friday - Go to the bank, upload some NAMM photos, watch some Buffy, play some PS3. Might go with my friend Matt to audition a drummer.

Sat - Matt's birthday party.

Sun - Nothing.

Tonight I'm going to see Dave Matthews Band in Hershey. Haven't seen them in years but I really dig their newest album and they're touring with Tim Reynolds so it should be a great show.

Tomorrow is going to suck - have to get up early as shit and go to NJ with the gf and her parents to celebrate her grandma's 80th b-day party. It's gonna suuuuuuuuck. Then I'll come home and probably be exhausted, my friend is having people over but I doubt I'll stop by.

Sunday I'll get some chores done around the house, maybe hit some golf balls and generally be lazy.
