The death metal appreciation thread part deux

You didn't get to the growled part?
Show some respect, these guys used to exchange letters with the Norwegian black metal circle guys, including a letter-bomb from varg vikernes :)

and beside that, the lyrics are brutal.

Anyway, this album is highly regarded in the local scene in the last decade+, only today I heard it entirely.

What you think of the song?

Heard it a couple of times yesterday and today.
The sound is raw (in a good way, of course), yet more articulated than I expected from a BOSS HM2.
The song has some good riffs and parts, but doesn't sound like a bunch of riffs and parts thrown together (I guess "nice songwriting" is what I'm trying to say).

Let me know when a full version is available.

I did ‘t actually use a HM-2 for the recording. It was all software plugins.

Poser.

Which plugins?

Used LePou amp sims and LeCab impulses. I tried using the hm-2 but that didn’t really work as I don’t use mic’ed amps but a DI.

I doubletracked the arpeggiated chords during the blasty bits with a lightly driven reverbed guitar to give a bit more note definition.

Ps this is just a demo recording for my band to learn the song, we will be using hm-2s on actual album recordings.

Thanks for the feedback. I was going for a short song stripping out all unnecessary bits and still have a well-written song

New tuneage from yours truly for my band. Not death metal, but still pretty heavy me thinks. What do you think?

Ps it’s a demo recording without bass or vocals and not mixed.

I dig this! I'm not sure I've heard that mixture of d-beat stuff with the open ringing dissonant stuff, very cool and very varied over the course of the song!
