Speaking of which, I have one of the Behringer HM-300 clones, and soundwise it is pretty close to the original hm-2. Drawback is that it’s rather flimsy. Would getting a mini loop pedal work, so I can just leave the hm300 switched on?

huh, that's never occurred to me as an option, but it seems like a good idea.. just like a passive switchable loop circuit like this sort of thing? http://www.one-control.com/1-loop-box.html

I guess it essentially makes whatever you put in the mini loop "true bypass" too
