That recent missing persons incident in the news

I watched a bunch of the bodycam footage. I have to say, they both seem like extremely unstable and volatile personalities. I'm by no means victim shaming or whatever, the dude is obviously a fucking asshole, but watching that footage, holy shit that was one fucked up relationship from both sides. Just watching two people interact that way makes me feel bad...

Yeah, that was my take away as well. Two unstable folks like that, spending 24/7 together in the small space of a sprinter van makes for a volatile situation. It's a shame one of them didn't have the ability to just say, "screw it, I'm catching the next bus home".

The imagery is infra red which accounts for the dark backpack appearing to be a lighter colour. Nonetheless the bag features the same ”night lights” pattern and ribbing.

Yeah, the black ribbing would look white under infrared. Wouldn't it? I mean, that's their logic for the light coloured look to the overall bag.
I suppose the material and how reflective it is, can factor into it.

perhaps his dad drove him way up there, parked the car at the other spot and then retrieved car later . he had AT LEAST that 4 nday lead before he was reported missing and maybe much longer :idea:
 
....so.......neighbors across the street from the laundrie's now say about a week after the white van returned they saw the father and Brian loading one of those in bed camper shells into the older laundries pick up truck. They say the camper shell was newly purchased recently and then the three of then went away for the weekend.....this woulda been just a couple days before brian supposedly went hiking.
Also a couple came forward and say that in Jackson Hole, WY on August 27th between 1 and 2 pm they were at a tec mex restaurant and witnessed brian and Gabby there because brian was super agitated and having a huge argument with the waitress< if that is true then as we know the youtuber who posted the video of the white van at the dispersed camping area near Grand Teton where Gabby's body was found stated that it was around 5 pm on Aug. 27 that they saw the van....that means like within a couple hours after the restaurant incident he killed her, most likely drove to the spot with her alive and killed her there.
The couple in the restaurant also said Gabby was crying in the restaurant.

Also John Walsh said he's going to find t"that dirtbag" and bring him to justice.

I kinda agree with John. The whole "hike in the swamp" thing may just be a big decoy. If he did go in there thinking he'd survive off of the land, then he may well be gator food, otherwise he's probably long gone and we won't see him in a while. You'd have to be living under a rock to not know who he is or what he looks like, so if he's hitch hiking or taking public transit, he'll be spotted. Either way, I think he'll be found eventually. It may just be a while.
 
It is truly amazing that the cops & FBI didn’t have that home covered up to watch for an escape.
It’s a good reminder to all of us. If you see abuse going on, just call the cops.
You could end up saving a life or at least bringing attention to someone that may or may not realize that they are in harm’s way. Often, the abused person just wants to forgive & forget because they love the abuser & think it’s just a temporary situation.

Off the top of my head I can think of 3 times I've stepped in on a situation where someone (not always female) was being publicly abused by their partner.

In every situation it was turned back on me that I was meddling or it was none of my business but I went to bed those nights knowing I'd tried to do the right thing.
 
Well it’s beyond that in Richmond, Virginia and the news is reporting that people of color are ignored when they go missing.
 
They both seemed unstable because she shows all of the earmarks of someone who has been beaten down by a controlling psychopath.
 
While I feel incredibly bad for the victim's family, I am becoming increasingly disgusted with the media coverage. I saw coverage this weekend calling the victim 'America's Daughter'. No she isn't. She made a very poor choice in a partner and paid with her life. The media circus needs to stop.

CASPER, Wyo —Twenty-two-year-old Gabby Petito was killed by strangulation, Teton County Coroner Brent Blue said at news conference Tuesday.

By Wyoming state statute, no other details about the state of Petito’s body or toxicology results could be shared, Blue said, other than to say that her body had been outside for three to four weeks before discovery.

Blue confirmed that Petito was not pregnant. By statute, he could not say whether the strangulation had been committed manually or with an item.​
 
Saying that the guy is a piece of shtt is just not even close to being a strong enough term. He should be flogged until death arrives.
 
John Walsh jumped in on that press conference about the coroner's findings. That dude is super pissed. I like him.
 
Dog the Bounty Hunter sprained his ankl so He's off the manhunt right now. The laundrie parents know where he is...they can't even get the date right when they saw him last anymore.
 
It looks like they likely found the guys remains. It kind of fits what I figured happened. He accidently kills the girl in a fight. Drives home trying to figure out what to do. Walks out to a remote area and kills himself. This was just so unnecessary from the get go. Chasing internet fame as a 'Van Life' couple and this is what it wrought. Tragic.

My initial thought was he offed himself but then the whole parent thing threw a curve ball with that camping trip and the verizon b urner phone. Most likely he did kill himself though. They said the area the remains were found was recently underwater.

Yep. And as long ago as this likely happened, with 5 weeks of the body being in the water and animals having access, unless there is a big hole in the skull it is unlikely they will discover the cause of death.
