That recent missing persons incident in the news

Dogue in teh desert
Weird fucking story. I was perusing the Google news this AM and it was the top return. I had seen it earlier in the week but didn't pay attention. After reading it I gotta say it is very sad first of all but also interesting. I haven't read enough to have a thought about who did it or what happened but the internet supposedly thinks her boyfriend did. The mo nkey wrench though is when they were in Moab an incident occurred at a food co-op and then like 6 days later two women whop worked there were killed at a nearby campsite which apprently this other couple stayed at  then other shite happened (There is Moab police bodycam footage interviewing the couple after a road stop) and like a week later the boyfriend flew back to Florida and the girl was then last seen or heard from in Yosemite (i think that was the place)....so Did the boyfriend kill her? , is there a seriel killer in the west roaming National parks? or did the girl just dissapear to run away from everything (unlikely, no money or phone trail )...hmmm

Also how in the fuck does THE DAILY MAIL always have so many photos and so much detail, way more than any other source. How do they get all this stuff?

The timeline is pretty crazy...they had that incident with the cops in early August around Moab. Her family last heard from her by text on August 30th and they were in grand Teton. Then he shows up in Florida on September 1st with her van.

He doesn't contact her family and when they reach out to find out where she is, radio silence. Family reports her missing a week later and the cops roll over to talk to him. His family is already lawyered up and the lawyer won't let the cops talk to him.

Oh he totally did it. You don't just drive home without your girl and expect no one to point fingers at you. I watched the video, he doesn't seem like the brightest bulb, so YEAH, I think he'll be going away for a good long while.

Seems pretty open-and-shut. It's a good thing she's a cute blonde--the whole world is watching. It'd be nice if the media covered the routine disappearances of trans, indigenous, etc. women.

she is cute for sure but what makes it interesting is them as a young couple on a cross country road trip and she was starting a youtube, etc trying to be an 'influencer" so there's a whole lotta stuff that makes it more interesting than your averaage missing person. It's kinda like that Chris McCandless dude who went missing and ended up dying in Alaska, they made the movie about it...I read the book when it came out , I think it was like 1995. his story was interesting cuxz he basically staged his car in a remote area to make it look suspicious and then set off to dissapear into the wilderness.
in this case I'm sure the boyfriend did it as well BUT you never know...I highly doubt she is backpacking to Alaska though.

oh btw I saw the links on another news article but her socioal media is still up ..instagram, tik tok and YT and she went by "nomadic statik"

The whole angle of the two ladies killed in Moab at about the time they were there, then the GF goes missing, is interesting. Possible that the dude kills the two ladies, then a bit later the GF freaks out and says she is going to the police so he kills her. Probably not the truth, but the coincidence of the timing is far to strange not to follow up.

10 to 1 that text was sent from her phone, but that phone wasn't in Yosemite at the time and they track the text having originated in the Midwest.

Supposedly they were in the grand tetons, that's only like a 35 hr drive to his hometown. Easy to pull off in two days.
But eventually when the cops start putting together his exact whereabouts and the towers her phone was connecting to; they wont need to speculate.

Maybe I'm just old, thinking "no way I'm driving from Wyoming to Florida in two days". Didn't someone say her text was supposedly Yosemite? That's where I got that.

This is nowhere near as wild as the dude whose housekeeper died in a slip-and-fall on his property. Then his son goes on trial for accidentally killing a girl in a boat accident while he was DUI. Then the son and the mom get murdered. Then the dad hires a guy to kill him so his other son can get some insurance money, only the shooter fucks it up and the guy doesn't die. Then we find out he's been an opioid addict for a decade and has lost all his money. Now he and the shooter are both in trouble for a whole buncha shit. WTF?!?!

Yeah - that is so strange you would think it was made up by a mystery writer. Or a drug addict.

Yes, there's a small chance this whole thing is a balloon-boy level publicity stunt for their YouTube channel.

I was 15 when I moved from a middle class neighborhood straight to the projects. Sounds like Saturday.

Don’t forget about the young man that was murdered in the middle of the road. Murdaugh & the shooter are out of jail as of now.
