So, this weekend

I had a heart attack. I am writing from the hospital, and am scheduled for a cardiac catheterization tomorrow. Luckily, I went to the hospital at the first signs on tightness in the chest so they think not much damage was done. With any luck I'll get released tomorrow or Tuesday. In the meantime, it it heart monitors, IVs, and constant blood drawing.

Oh crap. Sorry to hear that and all kinds of heart mojo.

Gary, just saw this.... much mojo from my house to yours. I'm sure the Mrs was scared shitless. FYI, one of the guys I work with had the same thing happen to him, his doc put him on aspirin therapy and blood thinners for a short time.

So the procedure today went well; no major blockage. The plan to do an echo cardiogram tomorrow and hopefully then I can go home.

It's kind of funny. When I had my cath, the doc said it is kinda bad news that there is no blockage. If there is one, then they know the issue and can put in a stent or do a bypass and you are good to go. When there isn't a blockage, they have more digging to do. Mine was clear as well. Glad everything went well and you are on the mend. Hopefully you get to go home soon.
