Signature Guitars

There are a few I would consider for the features, like Jeff Beck Strat with roller nut.

Otherwise, not really interested.

The only sig I've owned is a Les Paul, of which I've owned several.

My gut instinct is normally to shy away from sig models. I don't have a solid reason, I just really don't tend to want someone else's signature/name/symbol/what have you on my guitar. That said, if there was a sig model that matched something I really want in ways that weren't available otherwise, I'd buy it. But just endorsement alone isn't enough - I adore Marc Ford's playing, and I did buy his new signature pedal, but his sig guitar doesn't interest me in the least.

I've never bought a guitar because of whose signature was on it, but I've refused to buy guitars because of whose signature was on it. The only sig I have (besides the obvious Les Paul) is a Santana SE. I bought it because it's a great guitar and I got it for a good price because it was a discontinued color.

Oh, and my PRS 25th Anniversary SAS has Paul's signature on the control cavity cover (actual signature in silver Sharpie, not stamped), but I don't think that counts.

I’ve owned a few.

Clapton strat was one of my first electrics. Sold it.

Own a Tony Rice Santa Cruz.

Had a Bob Brozman baritone Santa Cruz, but gave it away because I had weird feelings about Brozman. I know this doesn’t make logical sense, but hey. I wasn’t playing it.

Had a used Gibson Jerry Douglas squareneck. Sold it.

Own a Chet Atkins Country Gentleman.

I’ve probably missed something.

Would seriously consider a Townshend or Angus sig SG, if Gibson ever becomes a company that I could give money to.

Will probably buy a Thundercat sig Ibanez bass at some point, if I get high or drunk enough.

Yeah, I don’t know many guitarists/bassists use their sig instrument as their primary or even secondary.

I have a guitar with bunch of signatures on it but I've never been motivated to buy a signature guitar. If I did it would be for the options available. I'll never sound like anyone other than me

I had a Buddy Guy Strat and sold it.
Currently have both a Jimmie Vaughan and a Robert Cray Signature Strat.
Two great guitars.
I'd like to have one of the new Eric Johnson Strats, a Jeff Beck Strat and a Reverend Pete Anderson Eastsider.
