Going out to a cricket club dinner tonight, and delighted to discover that a rather natty suit that I have been too fat to wear for a few years now fits again!
 
Going to Lillehammer for a bit with the Queen band, seeing Killer Queen play there. Better check out what the "competition" is doing :wink:
 
afternoon chaps.

Got my car back again - £180 down the swann y and I haven't even had a pint yet. At least it's actually fixed (though the electric windows aren't working now so I'll need to get him to footer with that)

Big gig tomorrow so I'm going for a nap then doing a lot of boring shite sorting out gear. My brother DJs at a local boozer every 2nd Friday and he's on tonight. given that him and the rest of the support staff from the school I'm in have been on the bevvy since 3 o clock and he doesn't start until 8 I might have to wander down for some lager beers and a lagh at the state he'll be in.
 
I should maybe have sorted out my cables and stuff before I drank a pint of white Russian - spanked the whole thing in 5 minutes because it doesn't taste like booze :facepalm:

I often sort out cables and other gear the night before a gig whilst quite shitfaced. Makes setting up a bit more interesting. :embarrassed:

My stuff is getting PAT tested on Tuesday so I might as well do a long needed clearing up.

Unfortunately that means I have cables, a new mixer :facepalm:, a million plugs and some new lights to get organised and then my PA, mood lighting set up and guitar gear and that's before I smooth out some rough edges on a few final songs I'm playing.

Afternoon gents.

My first proper day of the Easter holidays has been rather unproductive.

I had a gig on Saturday - started packing the car a back of 2 in the afternoon and finally had everything back in the house by 3 in the morning.

Against my better judgement I went to my bands rehearsal yesterday afternoon despite having that so tired I've got tunnel vision thing going on.

So today I slept in till about 12. Went for some shopping and now I'm considering going for a nap instead of doing what i'm meant to which is pretty much everything except napping.

I could not tell you how many years it has been since I had a lie in to 12 but I certainly don't remember it.
 
Well I've gotten the finger out somewhat.

We seem to have kicked the shit out of the ants we had the other week. Unfortunately that was primarilly due to my girlfriend Hiroshima-ing the place with Raid and cayenne powder so I got that cleaned up.

Then I decided I'd get stuff in order and prep for gravelling the bit of the garden I've been planning on doing. I will need to get it finished tomorrow now as I have a 1m squared ditch in my garden that will turn into a 1m squared pond if the rain comes on (and a quick look out the window suggests I might be lucky to even make it till tomorrow before that happens :facepalm:

Apart from that a lot of boring DJ admin and SQA marking shite as well as some deep cleaning.

On the way home from the pub last night I picked up a garden bench someone had left out for the clenny to collect. It's in rough shape but once I get all the boring stuff out of the way and it gets drier I'm going to spend an afternoon painting and fixing it up. Should be a fun easy little project.

Oh yeah and I've decided as I've really got to get the finger out if I'm going to do 2 laps of Tough Mudder I'm off the booze between now and then though come Wednesday that might have been scaled back to off the beer and cider :embarrassed:

I think my girlfriends birthday is when we're away on holiday so I'll just pap her off to the spa for the afternoon and get shitfaced in the jacuzzis :grin:

Turns out I was right about the rain coming back on before I got the chance to gravel. I might just get on with it anyway, I'm assuming builders don't hang around waiting for everything to be bone dry before laying out stuff.... :shrug:
