Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

So this week looks like it's gone to shit early doors.

The mechanic I've taken the car to has fixed the airbag though the light is still on and he can't get it off - an MOT fail and no doubt some shite I'll need to take to the Peugot dealer to fix.

BOTH seatbelts need replaced. I called bullshit on this as there was no passenger in the car at the time of the accident but he says that can happen

My wrist has been sore from the accident so I called my GP who sent me to the hospital to get X-rayed. Nothing showed up as a break but they reckon I may have done some tendons or ligaments in when the wheel was jerked around during the impact so now I'm sitting with a splint on :/

I had to let a bunch of folk in work know I'm going down to Monday Tuesday within the next few weeks as I'm involved in a bunch of things in the Summer term that I now won't be able to do. One actually had the gall to say that if I don't pick up any work elsewhere I'd be able to come in and help on the day she needs me for her project as I'd have nothing on to which I responded YOU THINK I'M GOING TO VOLUNTEER MY LABOUR FOR A PLACE THAT DOESN'T DEEM ME WORTHY OF BEING PAID FOR IT? THAT'LL BE FUCKING RIGHT YOU MUPPET She didn't take it too well but it made me feel better. :embarrassed:

Morning Paltrow lovers

Wow, shit week so far jbj. I sincerely hope it gets better.

Ive never ever had to or have ever heard of anyone having to replace a seat belt. Then again Im not a mechanic, so what do I know?

More mojo jbj, that's shit luck.

The seat belt thing isn't too surprising to me actually as modern cars tend to have an explosive bolt tensioning device under the seat. If the car jolts hard enough to indicate it's in an accident, the bolt explodes and forcibly retracts the seatbelt as hard and fast as it can. Once it's blown the whole seat belt assembly has to be replaced. Long gone are the days are picking up a £10 spare from the scrapyard, from what my mechanic told me (who is a rare fair and honest one) it normally requires specialist tools to take the device out without it blowing making it a major pain in the rear end to change seats in cars.

Yeah the guy mentioned an explosive charge in it and I was like yeah whatever but I phoned a fellow DJ who happens to be a mechanic last night and he confirmed it.

The passenger seatbelt is proper f'd - there's not even an inch of give in it so the charge must have gone off and snapped the thing right in.

So yeah more repairs needed :/

Not that I begrudge him it in the slightest but with this shitty week I'm having but it's a bit annoying that my brother will be getting a big payout (dunno exactly how much but some folk who have already found out are well over £10k!!!) through the work this week after an unequal pay class action suit. Maybe if I'm nice he'll give me a tap

Morning death row whiners

Woukdnt it make sense to sniff the knickers of a potential partner? Of course it would.

preferably whilst wearing this:

Wel, they're all there for the sniffing bonanza so they'd all need to wear such hats and if everyone is wearing them then all of them wearing one becomes redundant.

Ugh I am loaded with the cold :(

Got a charity do I need to go to tonight as well. Not even in the mood for refreshing lager beers.

Just seen the football scores. Would not have guessed at the start of the season on Liverpool being top and having it in their own hands to win the title at this point. As a neutral I really hope they do it as if there's one player who's shown loyalty to his club through thick and thin in his career and has long deserved to be a league champion, it's Gerrard.

If that actually happens, I have no idea what I'll do. Fair chance I'll go mental, to be honest. :embarrassed:

And yeah, think a lot of people wouldn't mind seeing Stevie lift that one trophy that has eluded him in club football. He's definitely deserved it imo - but then again I am a bit biased.
