It scratched the Tele itch I was getting a few years ago from HC without having to put up with the bits I don't like about actual Fender Teles. This has a tummy cut which most Teles don't, and I much prefer the control scheme.

just about! It’s absolutely freezing here, even with the heating on full blast.

Been signed off work for a few weeks due to anxiety, stress and related insomnia. So got time to catch up on sleep during the day

Still here and very much enjoying the nice goose down duvet I bought on a whim a few month back.

It's not been horrible cold here yet but it's weird, you get such a nice sleep you don't mind getting up when it's cold.
 
Grrr, got my weekly pay today, but hadn’t been paid the money I am due. HR can’t get it right, even though I have explained the situation several times. I got paid 1 day instead of the 4 days for the week.

Elaboration: I got signed off work by Occupational Health on 10/11 until 03/12. They then kept recording ‘unauthorised absence’, because I hadn’t called in sick. I spoke to them and told them OH sent them my report and sick note. I heard nothing else and they never fixed the issues. I phoned them, but instead of fixing it, they recorded a new sick absence and didn’t pay me.

in short: they don’t have a direct phone contact, so needed to explain situation through email a number of times, and they still didn’t check the records and fix things. Now I can’t pay my bills until I get paid the backdated 6 working days they owe me (about £550).

I am pissed off and it doesn’t help my anxiety. All I can do is keep harrassing them to fix it

Had a blast last weekend, left for Oulu on Thursday, had another crazy bus trip with a bunch of artists to Luleå over the weekend. Was really cool, and because the bus driver was cool we could play our set in the bus while driving through the snow, which was amazing.

Needed 2 full days of sleep to get over it :embarrassed:

Now wrapping up my last work here before going to NL for a month. We were on the fence for a long time as the situation is fucking garbage there (and Dutch people are fucking idiots), but I haven't seen my family (apart from my mom who visited last month) for 2 years now, so it's just time to go see them. Worst case scenario I see no one apart from my parents, my brothers and the GF's immediate family and have a month of rest.

well, still not sorted. HR also don’t have a direct phone number so I had to email them again.

Going to Citizens Advice Bureau on Monday, as I am behind on my bills and rent. ‘T is the season I guess.

on a more positive note, I joined gym so I have made space for the coming xmas food onslaught
 
Got my ass stuck in lockdown NL :embarrassed:

Basically our worst case scenario came true. For some reason the fuckwits that call themselves government here decided to not act about half a year to late and randomly locked down the country Saturday evening with no evening.

It sucks that everything is closed but I really am not that bothered. The most annoying is the weird thing now that me and the GF kinda hover this weird position of being both part of each of our families households yet also being guests and all the "fun" how many visitors or whatever is allowed bullshit and stress.

Still nice to finally see mine and the GF's family again, but I didn't expect them to slap a full lockdown on the whole thing out of nowhere, otherwise I would've gotten a return ticket a lot sooner...

Practically sort of a lockdown here as well for the second Christmas running. Really hope this is the last time that happens.

I'm self isolating and testing daily to try and be able to travel to Scotland on Thursday. Even with that I'd say its 50/50 whether I'll make it.

Having said that I'm triple jabbed and have had Covid at least once so I'm pretty much as safe as I can be at this point. Just seems strange to be travelling the way things are in the UK now.
 
Just got back from having my booster shot as it happens. Wouldn't be at all surprised if there's a circuit breaker/lockdown in the offing for the UK while Boris has a rave up.

Saw an antivaxx demonstration this weekend. It’s because of these idiots ( and the UK government) that we are in this shit. I expect a full lockdown will be implemented here soon as well.
 
They threw out the restrictions on outdoor group size, so that lessens my annoyance with this shit by a lot.

Now I can at least meet some people outside and have a walk without being anxious about being 1 person too many or nonsense like that.

We are not going into lockdown at least until after xmas. They have restricted the group size so no fans allowed at football matches. Nothing that affects me

Yeah I'm not too fussed about the shops being closed. The bars are a tiny bit sad, but I prefer not being inside a busy bar anyway, so doesn't bother me too much. Mostly the 2 person group size outside was something that made me :messedup: , cause that's super annoying and messy.
