I've already given my ticket away for tomorrow. Even if I'm feeling better which I can't see, I don't want to be sat out in the cold but hopefully we batter absolute fuck out of the sheep shaggers for him :embarrassed:
 
Spent the weekend at a friend's family summer cabin next to a lake up north. Had a blast. Needed a full day in bed to get over the hangover/tiredness.

Turns out, Cool Runnings is a great movie with 1/3rd of a spacecake in your face :thu: :embarrassed:

Sounds like you had a good time. Spacecake gave me chronic panic and anxiety disorder. For most people it should be fine, but I wouldn’t recommend it to beginners

It was a good time indeed.

Spacecake hits me very hard, but not necessarily in a bad way. It also depends on environment and stuff like that. I never smoke pot anymore since moving to Finland, so every time (once a year max) we do this, it hits me like a truck. But the thing that fucks most people up with spacecake is that they eat it, think it's not working, eat more and more and end up tripping balls for over a day. We just make a small one with a decent portion of weed, eat it at once and done with it. I still end up feeling like I did something a lot stronger, but with my 3 best mates in the woods with the biggest worry in life being whether the sauna needs extra firewood it's quite pleasant. And especially after a busy and stressful year like this one it's very comforting to just stare at a colourful movie, laugh at shit that's absolutely not funny, hear my buddy talk for an hour about how shit it would be if they'd end the movie at the bobsled crash because "man, that's not good, you can't end movies on vibes like that, that's just irresponsible" and pass out during the end credits.

And disorders I got plenty already, so hey-ho :embarrassed:

We went to Amsterdam for my stag.

I'd been a few times,no one else had.

After a few beers some of the lads decided they wanted some space cake so we sourced some.

As you said CoF amateurs don't get how strong it can be. I told them to eat half, give it an hour then if they wanted more get stuck in, of not, give the rest to someone else or bin it.

The dafties tanned the lot in one go - none of them smoke, for some of them it was their first ever weed.

They were in bed by 6 o clock.

At least they weren’t in A&E which apparently happens a lot with tourists underestimating how strong weed/hash is in The Netherlands

Yeah Mrs JBJ and I were having something to eat and a couple of drinks in a nice canal side bar taking things easy before heading home. A table of 6 or 7 Scouse guys next to us all tanned a box of mushrooms each in one go. I told them they were going to regret that, it turns out they were flying home in a few hours., Total halfwits.
 
Rare gig tonight - just a moodlight set up. 5 minute job followed by 5-6 hours sitting around. I hope the band / DJ is decent if there's not somewhere quiet I can slink away and hide. :embarrassed:


The weather is absolutely honking, very glad I don't have to lug a tonne of gear about.
 
My mom visited last week, had a blast all week. Was good seeing her again after nearly 2 years.

We just hung around the city, visited some "tourist" sites, ate good food, went to some nice bars, generally just had a good time. It was the first time she could see our new apartment as well.

And she and CoGF installed a dishwasher, which involved demolishing a cupboard and lead to a trip to the health centre :embarrassed: Never a dull moment.
 
After a while of humming and hawing me and Mrs JBJ are starting to seriously look into moving house.

Probably going to be renting this place out if @wok or @pmc100 are looking to move into a nice little Loyalist enclave :embarrassed:

I don't suppose any of you (especially UK-based) happen to have a spare chrome Kluson-style tuner lying around? Similar to this?

I am missing one out of a set of Wilkinson deluxe ones (the high E, but I could work with any one). If I could get one that even looks close, I'd be over the moon. I have a bunch of random parts I'd be happy to swap, or let me know if we could work something else out.

Do you have any links? I could only find one in Australia (that was defective). I've currently got a high E version of one of these as a substitute, so it wouldn't be worth buying anything that wasn't a closer match. And also, not worth buying one that costs half as much as a brand new set of Wilkinsons (I know I'm not making it easy!)

No experience with them, only replacement pickups I've used are Tonerider.

I dropped a set of the Hot Classics in my Yamaha 402S a few years ago and they were and are still awesome.
