Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

Been a bit unwell, had a lot of bother with a rash outbreak. Still managed to keep somewhat up-to-date with uni work.

Still very stressed about finances since I am no longer a taxi driver. Desperately looking for part-time work

I detect some sarcasm there

Ha ha, reading back, it does look like that, but I actually am ridiculously busy and have been for the past week or two. I write user guides for software, and we've got a LOT of software being released at the moment.

Good luck, wok.

Actually WFH hasn't made my workload any easier. Now I don't even get the commute to unwind before I'm sorting out home stuff after work.

Same here. I find that my work is more full-on from the word go. I think people in my company are actually being more productive in general (which means I end up being busier).

Looks like we (Fife) are going to Covid level 3 from level 2 :(

So, pubs aren't allowed to serve alcohol inside from Friday. Time to panic buy beer

I'm not even missing the pub now I've got that draft machine. Seriously pours better pints than the boozer and works out a bit cheaper too.

yeah, but I go to the pub to meet friends. Drinking alone at home is a bit sad

I've been busy AF. It's grant application season, made a website for the GF and mine music/video project, we're 99% done putting together an album and releasing it on a USB stick with some goodies and stuff, so we did a lot of design and videos and whatnot. A bit of web design for some clients. And then somehow I need to make time to work on ongoing projects.

Also, I seem to have found a side career as a live-stream technician after helping out somewhere for an evening :embarrassed:

Just went for a Corona test. I went to a friend's birthday on Friday, there were only a few people there, but one of them got tested positive yesterday... Quite annoying as I've been avoiding everything and been super careful, and the first time I meet more than one person is instantly a fuckup. I feel fine, but I filled in the form so that it would send me to the test, cause I really can't deal with the stress of isolating for 2 weeks and worry about every little cough, itch in my throat and all that paranoia shit. Filled in the form at 10:30, booked a time slot for 13:embarrassed:0, got there early (it's quite stormy outside, so I didn't know how fast biking was gonna be), got a swab stuck up my nose 12:35, was home at 13:embarrassed:0 again. Should get the result tomorrow or the day after.

Mojo sent.

Mojo CoF, it's going around quite bad here and we've had a few confirmed cases in work outside of my bubble, I hate the idea of having to self isolate.

I'm not that bothered by the isolate thingy, most frustrating thing is not being able to go to my studio. I mean, it's annoying and all, but apart from going to my studio and the supermarket every day, it's not like life holds much out-of-the-door excitement at the moment.

I wouldn't be too fussed isolating either tbh, it's not like there's anywhere to go or things to do just now anyway.

Work wise it would be a PITA though. When we went into lockdown we went fully onto online teaching which next to no kids bothered with. We still had to do it so it was frustrating that the uptake was minimal but whatever.

When we came back in August we went back full time so the online thing has been knocked on the head except when kids have to self isolate / choose to stay off. I can put the stuff up online for them to do, or not  My actual teaching continues face to face with the majority of my students.

If I had to self isolate though, it would probably only be one class alongside me so I'd be trying to teach online to a handful of kids who were at home and the rest of them who are still in the school. It would be total shite.

Anyway today is a jolly fine WFH day and I've spent it trying to break some new tracking software we're going to be using. It's superb. Yesterday it took me over an hour to properly evidence 14 kids' history work for last term. With his I'll be able to track and evidence it live as it happens using my phone.

It's really cool and intuitive. That translates to - a lot of people will moan about having to start using a new system and I'll be the go to person when they can't be arsed spending half an hour to find out how it works themselves :embarrassed:
