Just for the day. It's only s1 in today. They don't tend to give me lower school classes so if you didn't have any teaching time, you could work from home. I've got a feeling they'll be more proactive with people coming in later / leaving before the end of the day if their timetable allows it.

I've got 2 office days as part of my promotion that would be quite nice to do at home if I didn't need to access files on our servers.
 
Oooh looks like I've avoided being timetabled for (excruciating) Literacy and Numeracy classes this year :headbang:
 
Fuck me, local flashfloods everywhere here. Thunderstorm started last night (around 8ish?). Woke up this morning around 8am and it was still going on.

Yeah it's melting here. I missed it all last night. Could see lightning reflecting off the clouds when I was in the tub but by time I got out it was all done. Would probably have got some nice views of it over the Campsies too.
 
Well that's me back to work. Give it a week and it'll feel like I was never off.

Volunteered for a residential in the lakes on October. Can't go ahead surely?!?!? :couch:


The return to school video I made has had really good feedback but the nicest was one of our cooler "hard" seniors came up to me yesterday and went: "i watched your video"

Looked around to see if anyone was within earshot and went " thanks for letting us know that coming back was going to be OK." :grin:

Teaching History for the first time in 3 or 4 years to a couple of interesting S2 classes I've never worked with.

Scottish Wars of Independence to start off with. Now where did I put that Braveheart DVD? :shrug:

Autumn starts in August. Always has, always will, anyone in Britain claiming otherwise is delusional in my experience.

Winter is coming, it's nearly September so we'll be there soon.

It's still surprisingly nice here. Had some thunderstorms at night, but overall, it's still hovering around 20 during the day and sunny.
 
It’s miserable, and hence I came home from work and I really wanted to shut myself off from the world and crawl into my bed.

It's been pishing down here all day. Water pools at our back step and for a while I was worried it might get to apoint it was coming in.
