Had the best Christmas in years which is surprising since I was dreading going to my sister's.

Hope you all had a good idea me too gang.
 
Working today. I don’t mind because double/triple rates and otherwise would be doing nothing but stuff my face.
 
Had a blast during Christmas, even though this trip is more suited to a healthcare worker than me :embarrassed:

On top of my grandma moving to a nursing home and going downhill by the day, my dad having one leg in a cast after ankle surgery, a day before Christmas my mom nearly fainted while driving my dad around, managed to park the car safely (thank fuck), ambulance and all that, my dad can't drive, so I get a call "can you come to this one shop walking or by bike". "euhm yeah sure, but why?" "welllllllllllllllllll the car's parked kinda awkward and they're checking out your mom in an ambulance now". :facepalm:

In the end all is okay. My mom got lumbago from carrying stuff, got worse while moving my grandma and wheeling my dad around, the pain got so bad she hyperventilated... All is going relatively well.

I had a bottle of wine in the tub then went to bed. That's less than a midweek football / my average post gig sesh.

Woke up feeling the freshest on the 1st that I have since I was about 14 :embarrassed:
 
On the beers now and doing a wee acoustic gig for my pal on the St Tropez of the North (Largs) 2moro so this is where I start to slide into messiness. :thu'
 
Pretty decent hangover. Now sipping cava while frying some bitterballen. Life is hard. I've been drinking beer since I woke up around 13:embarrassed:0 :embarrassed: wheeled my dad to the nursing home where my grandma is now, listened to her rant about how everything sucks and she doesn't understand why she can't be at home anymore. Needed a beer to deal with that shit...

Thanks, I'm fine. I hoped for a bit of a holiday, but it also feels very satisfying being able to do this for my parents who always did fucktons for me and cut me crazy amounts of slack. At the end of the day I'm glad Im going home in 6 days, but I'm also glad I'm here to take care of a lot of stuff.

Congrats - not that it's were in the market or owt but youre not dealing with HBOS mortgages per chance are you? :embarrassed:
 
After a couple of years on the taxis you might have developed a new found appreciation of the office life (and dosh)!
