Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

People keep asking me at work (only Brit) if I'm for in or out. I tell them I can't vote anyway and I'm not interested really.

I do get the feeling though that we'll be out of the EU, this time next week.

I'm feeling a bit more positive the last couple of days. I think the murder of Jo Cox has woken a few people up to the sort of rightwing nutjobs they are siding with. Small mercies I suppose :( That and a naturaly swing to caution and we might be alright. Going to be fucking close though.

Tell you what, and I'm quite surprised - the guy who runs the facebook group for all the shit going on in the town put up a poll and remain is getting absolutely slaughtered. Seriously - it's about 66% to 33% leave and whilst it's just a small straw poll, that's quite a margin.

Of course it is full of benefit scrounging shits that won't be on the electoral register so there is that :embarrassed:

One of the first questions that occurred to me when I heard about the Jo Cox murder was whether the government organised the hit to boost the remain vote via sympathy?

It's wrong that I even think that but it just feels like that's the kind of world we live in.

I actually think it may not be that close and that it's going to be remain by a wide margin. It's the brexiters that are the loudest, but most businesses, financial institutions, educational institutions, research facilities etc cant afford the uncertainty of an exit.

Too bad all this is just a result of an internal powerstruggle within the Tory party.

Sounds vaguely familiar ;-)

Suns out Norn Iron are playing and the missus is away so that can mean only one thing

Helping my brother build hisstupid deck

I concur. Croatia really did their homework on how to beat the Spanish. What a result for them!

Yup, and that's without their best player. I guess they might be cheeky enough to reach the semi's if Modric returns. I like their combination of passion/relentless drive and skill, it works very well.

so, if the UK votes out and I am not on this forum the next few days, you know where I will have been sent to :embarrassed:

I wish I could just listen to that Icelandic commentary on a loop all day at the office. It puts a smile on my face every time.

In other news, get in Ireland!

Oh and I did my duty and voted this morning.

As I entered the polling station my MP rocked up in a jeep with a tannoy with some clown screaming about the SNP being the only party for a remain vote

Almost changed my vote on the spot
