Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

GF's birthday today. Had a Finnish test today, don't really know how well that went... Also the final day of one of a course on sound design, had some great fun listening to and presenting assignments today.

Now cleaning the house a bit, throwing a party tonight.

A mate who does hypnotism was gigging up here last night soe, my gf and a couple of mates went along to see him.

I drink in some pretty rough boozers and know this venue is a bit sketchy but even I was taken aback by the clientelle and coke consumption. I shit you not there were 40people in the bogs at times and they were cutting up and doing lines on the sink unit at will.

I didn't even think anyone did coke this weather!

As an aside I reckon a few photos of 50-60 year old arseholes shoving powder up their nose I a minging club toilet will be a better deterrent I social ed classes the a teacher banging on about it giving you a heart attack

Afternoon all.

Been a long day back at work after a second three day training course in two weeks. Looking forward to the weekend!

Afternoon all. wave0

This morning, I bought tickets to see Hayseed Dixie tomorrow night. Am anticipating several beers and some good music. Totally_jammin_out

Those guys are really good, as well as quite hilarious. First time I saw them live, I was close to literally rofl'ing.

That bicycle bell intro to Hells Bells still gets me chuckling.

So, did the old shithole drown yet

Where did you go?

Visited family and friends. Spent some time in Eindhoven, it was Dutch Design week so plenty of cool stuff to see and do. Had a few beers, caught up with people I hadnt seen for a long time. The usual.

On a negative note:

Having some people i never expected to come out with some pretty racist stuff about refugees certainly was an eye opener and proof that the country is on a slippery slope.

Yeah it's quite a worrying trend that pops up all over europe. It seems xenophobia is suddenly okay again... Casual remarks backed by "but I'm not racist" pop up all over the place. Also from people who pretend to be very tolerant but go absolutely apeshit when the possibility of refugee centres in their town is mentioned...

yup, pretty much.

and then the non-arguments like "they are not refugees, because they have money and mobile phones"

YAAAAAY

one of those great days where I planned to have a quiet day to do lots of work with only one meeting in the afternoon. It has been transformed into a day of running around fixing other people's bullshit.
