I traded my '81 LP Standard for this last night, a Custom Shop '60 Reissue LP Special. It's pretty neat. Sounds a lot better than the LP Studio 60s Tribute I used to have.

One of the guys here has a guitar with DUncan p90's that sound really good but I don;t know if they are the same model. Probably can't go wrong though.

Phat cats rock. Not 100% pure p90 but damn close and they sound great.

My SE has Duncan soapbars. Killer pickups.
These pickups aren't the soapbar ones. Also, the LP has the Alnico Classic Humbuckers. My other LP has Pearly Gates pickups in it. I'm looking for a totally different sound with the p90-type. I take it the Seymours will be sufficiently different than the Gates, and the Alnico's are probably closer to the Gates, and are worth swapping out. Also, may just leave the beast as is.
