I was gigging last night. When I got up this morning Mrs JBJ said Lola had been licking her paws all evening but whenever she tried to check it Lola would growl at her.
I had a look and she's taken a bit off a pad. It looked sore so off we went.
I noticed she was limping a bit at this point and kept raising the paw. Mrs JBJ said she hadn't been doing that before I'd looked at it.
Couple of hours at the vet, £200 in bills and the diagnosis: it's a bit like us if we get a blister, no bleeding, it's not very deep, no need for pain meds or a even bandage.
She bounded out of the vets and the limp and paw raising has mysteriously disappeared!
She's a little shit.
I wish I'd got some photos, the couples from last night's gig had a 10 month old shepherd who was at the venue. I got to have a little play with him after I'd packed up the car at the end of the night.
