ya know, if all the nations that cheeto has berated or threatened simply pulled all trade and associations from the US, we'd be kinda fucked.
no intel, no parts for anything, no affordable products, no clothing, loosing a bunch of food.......etc.

I just thought it was funny that he'd go shooting animals on Earth Day. Even if there is no reason not to it would be in his best interest to start considering the "optics" of stuff like this.

Yup. Been saying it for years. The past several generations of Russian Military Hardware ESPECIALLY their fighter aircraft, are WAY more capable than anything in our inventory. A conventional skirmish with them would not bode well for us

Yes, we overspend like a mofo on defense, but we spend it on old and tired tech and pure pork projects. We take so long to get new hardware from concept to operational status these days due to the red tape and political shenanigans of spreading parts of every project over as many congressional districts as possible, that our latest toys are obsolete when they finally reach our military branches.

The F-22 was the baddest motherfucker in the sky when the first prototypes took flight almost 20 years ago. At THAT time, it would have been unstoppable. Now that they are trickling into service, they are overmatched by multiple Russian jets that are already in service, in numbers we can't contend with.

their new tank is a solid gold mofo. our abrams would be totally fucked. and don't get me going on the F-35 piece of shit. and THAT's another issue with our defense spending. they're trying to make one machine fit everyone's needs and it ends up being a boat anchor. the F-14 was the best thing for the navy and the F-15 was the best thing for the air force. do THAT again it would be far less expensive than what they are doing now. the last fighter that worked well for both was the F-4 Phantom II.

and THEN there's the cancellation of the A-10, the best close air support platform ever made. don't cancel it. update and upgrade it and build a few THOUSAND of them.

i'm not suggesting we keep up step for step. however, there was this thing called Crimea that occured several months back. russia is on the move.
you see anyone else on the block that can stand in their way? or are you ok with Warsaw Pact 2.0?

oh, and btw.....they are not spending themselves into the toilet. they have one of the largest oil reserves left on the planet, up in siberia. and they're selling it as fast as they can get it out of the ground.

I don't believe that Russia has the capacity to bite off much more at this point. Their economy is truly fucked.
