trump was always looking for an excuse to fire comey, the moment he and his bunch were being investigated over russia.
now he will appoint and get the confirmation, of a new director that will be the equivalent of sessions as AG.
the investigation is over.
 
Comey helped trump get elected. Every reason given for firing him was known when trump took office. Why wait this long unless it has more to do with the Russia investigation than her emails?

It really appears that trump thinks he is a dictator.
 
I think Obama set Trump up, and masterfully so. The FBI didn’t suddenly discover that Comey was lying to the nation. They told him one thing and he made up something else. I guarantee you that people at the FBI informed Obama that Comey was lying. Obama left Comey in office knowing this shit would eventually blow up. He has perfect excuses—he stayed out because the president shouldn’t interfere in elections, doesn’t comment on active investigations, blah blah blah. But Trump was always going to be fucked by this. If he fires Comey he’s fired the guy investigating the President for colluding with Russia. If he doesn’t fire Comey then he’s allowing a guy who lied to manipulate an election to head the FBI. Brilliant work by a master tactician.
 
Lordy. Once again, just when I start to worry that the trump nightmare is becoming accepted as normal, he pulls an absurd stunt to re-establish his clownhood.
