house republican didn't read bill before voting for it. his state loses lots of funding. direct quote, "explain that to me"

Told by a Buffalo News reporter that the state’s largest loss of federal funds under the bill would be $3 billion annually that goes to the state’s Essential Health Plan, Collins said: “Explain that to me.”

I'm shocked to find out that a representative for Buffalo didn't realize the negative implications for his home shithole district. SHOCKED!

there was a congressional hearing last week about the doctor that was dragged off a united flight and something that happened on a american (?) flight.
and the congressman that was heading the hearing said to the united and american ceo's that if the airlines (all of them) do not get their stuff together, fast, that congress was going to act, and it was going to be a "one size fits all" law and that the airlines were "not going to like it".

the time has come. let's go congress. re-regulate the airlines. reagan was wrong, they cannot police themselves appropriately.

reagan started the theft from social security and sold us on trickle down. poor and middle class people idolizing him makes no sense at all.

It's not about Reagan, it's about the Patriot Act and how the public's rights are essentially terminated by an air mattress once you get on a plane. And since you bought the ticket, you agreed to the policy.

if congress does act, as they were warning/threatening, those rules are going to get changed, at least with respect to how crews can treat paying customers.
i hope congress does act, and acts HARD.

Congress doesn't necessarily need to act, though I doubt they will anyway. While the rights of air mattresses are overblown, passengers simply need to remain calm, record interactions, and engage social media.

While these people had to leave the plane, they did it right. They filmed the interaction and it was brought to the attention of the airline. The airline is now compensating them. As I'm flying with a toddler this summer, I'm making sure I not only know my passenger rights, but I'll make sure I have them printed out, to avoid incident. And if it does come to pass, well, I've got my iPhone and will expect my payout compensation so long as I refrain from using the term "air mattress" directly to a flight attendant.

#fuqapatriotact

fuq it. truly. and vigorously.

Agreed. It was a bad law then, and it's a bad law now.

That law makes me want to bring out my Neil/Crazy Horse "Living with War" album again. In fact, I think I will.

But it has Patriot in the title.

So someone who had everything handed to her by someone who had everything handed to him wrote a book giving career advice to women.

they know EVERYTHING.....what part of that don't you get?

andrew jackson was mad about the civil war happening.

all news is fake, unless approved by the cheeto supposedly in charge.

everything is possible as long as you say it enough times. same goes for the truth.

haven't you been following the rules?

I understand how it works, I'd just rather express myself though feigned befuddlement than angry shouting.

Im aware of all this. I'm saying that the reps were the "liberals" before the civil rights movement as is well documented. I'm sure you knew that though, they would spit in his and Eisenhower's face these days. Probably Reagan too, though they idolize him. 75 % of the neocons that idolize him probably only know that he bombed Qaddafi, and if you asked them if we should do it next week would answer a sound yes, although he's long dead.
They also want to bomb Agriba.

This is entirely worth reading. It spells out "conservatives" fears over healthcare and recognizes the awful realities of TrumpCare.
Good read.
However, I disagree with the following assessment:
"At least Obamacare drove more people to recognize that government wasn’t the solution."
I don't think it did that at all. I think it drove (and is driving) more people to recognize that single-payer is, ultimately, the solution.

and it will NEVER happen as long as the GOP is in charge.
