So they blew a few million $$ to have a senate field trip to a different building in Washington and no new information was shared?

IDK I heard Chris Coons, Dem from Delaware, on NPR this afternoon on my way home saying that while he couldn't share the details of the briefing, the administration laid out the possible military responses to various scenarios and their diplomatic strategy to intervene before military action was necessary. He said the admin's plan was well thought out and presented.

House Democrats to force vote on bill requiring Trump to release his taxes, visitor logs
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ring-trump-to-release-his-taxes-visitor-logs/

"Knowing that the legislation will be blocked by Republicans who control the House, Democrats are hoping to squeeze the majority party so they can claim that GOP incumbents in competitive reelection fights are standing with a president who remains deeply unpopular."

it's about time the dems stop acting like deer in the headlights and start DOING something. make moderate gop-ers uncomfortable about being lumped in with this cheeto shit gibbon. drive that wedge.

Can we sell ad space on the side? Like they do at football games?

The Border Blimp. Brought to you by Trojan.

Finally, a practical idea!

I like how a couple of them are already saying the wall was just a "metaphor for border security."
  1. say outlandish stuff to get attention and please the target audience
  2. do whatever it takes to make it seem like the outlandish statement was true, kinda

Move NYC to Texas. That'll show 'em.

This whole thing about blue states getting bluer, and red states getting redder could be completely undone by repealing the oldest tax break on the books. You're probably not going to turn a state like Oklahoma. But the purple states, Florida, Arizona, Pennsylvania, etc., will turn into a culture war if they're not already.

I don't get it. If we peacefully divide the country in 2, no one will move to the country that suits them, but if you mess with their taxes they will move to a part of the country that is the polar opposite of what they want? You confuse me

People will move to the lowest tax states to avoid the tax burden of the higher states. Pretty simple.

If people would move based on taxes, everyone would move to Alaska. No state income tax or sales tax. That hasn't happened. People are no more likely to move for taxes than they are to move to the blues or red states of America.
