Posted this vid by Mojo Nixon and the Toadliquors in a thread about songs related to reptiles and got to thinking, when I bought this album, while in law school, all this assault on personal freedom stuff and drug testing, etc. was brand new. I loved this song, as a civil libertarian. Now, if you want a job, you hardly think twice about having to be drug tested. Look how far we have come since the late 80's. *sigh*

When I was a scrappy 20-something in the early 90s, I thought drug testing was the devil. As a graying 40-something pothead business guy in 2017, I can definitely see some value in it. Plus...it has created a ton of jobs/moved money over the years.

so i got a trump survey questionare in the mail today. don't know why i got one, i'm a registered dem. it came from the rnc.
but it's got questions about whether i support (on a scale of 1-10) pretty much all the campaign promises. and then some other questions about support for his policies.

i don't know whether i should fill it out and mail it in or just throw it away. it's addressed to me and has a registration number on it.
if i fill it out and it's all negative (which is the only way i'd fill it out), will i be getting visits from the fbi or ?

if i do fill it out and send it in, they'll just throw it in the trash. they DO NOT accept negative anything.

any ideas?

Maybe with all the flip flops, they think a Dem responding negatively to the promises will show "his people" are still with him.

yea....i don't know. i changed parties this past summer, as soon as tweeto cheeto got the nomination, so maybe they're just THAT far behind.
i think i'll just toss it. or like i said earlier, stuff the return envelope (that DOES NOT have any of my info on it) with a very derogatory cheeto meme.

Certainly American politics (spotlight on Trump n' Co) is the greatest piece of ongoing performance art.

Donald Trump’s Massive Corporate Tax Cut Literally Cannot Pass Congress
http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox...s_corporate_tax_cuts_can_t_pass_congress.html

“During a meeting in the Oval Office last week, Mr. Trump told staff he wants a massive tax cut to sell to the American public,” the Journal reports. “He told aides it was less important to him that such a plan could add to the federal budget deficit.”

"Would such plan waste trillions of dollars padding the pockets of Walmart and Exxon’s shareholders? Absolutely! Would that stop Republicans from supporting it? Probably not! But unfortunately for Trump, his plan to slash corporate tax bills has a fatal flaw: It’s probably forbidden under the Senate’s rules, and thus entirely incapable of passing Congress."

“A plan of business tax cuts that has no offsets, to use some very esoteric language, is not a thing,” Callas said. “It’s not a real thing. And people can come up with whatever plans they want. Not only can that not pass Congress, it cannot even begin to move through Congress day one. And there are political reasons for that. No. 1, members wouldn’t vote for it. But there are also procedural, statutory procedural, legal reasons why that can’t happen.”

again.....BWAAAAHAAAAHAAAAHAAA.
tweeto cheeto is running out of feet to shoot himself in.
